Question about someone's athletic feats

Ever hear of Darell Greene? The ability to maintain peak athleticism has reached a renaissance with guys like LeBron on Tom Brady competing for goat status in the lower to mid 40s. It requires an insane level of commitment to training but yes it’s possible. 165 is not heavy at all that is relatively skinny.

except you're comparing elite athletes who spend millions on body maintenance every year, at least in LeBron's case, to a random short dude running in the park. 165lbs is definitely heavy for a 5'6 person who claims a 4.3. Noah Lyles is like 150lbs and 5'11.

i'm not saying this dude can't be strong and maintain a good level of athleticism. but we're talking world elite speed from a short old stumpy dude. it's hard to believe. like i said, for elite athletes is still shocking guys like Terrell Owens can run a 4.4 at 46 yrs old or whatever, but this guy does NOT look like Terrell Owens or really, any other dude who is fast.

100 yard Olympic Champ Bob Hayes only ran a 4.4

Usain Bolt's 40 time is 4.22 at 37 yrs old. Usain Bolt, 1 of the fastest men ever is only a second faster than 5'6 unknown white dude at the same age.

The people you mention are relying on elite genetics that is how professional sports work and athletes are selected for without even having to train nearly as consistently and over a long enough time frame as somebody like Alec. If we took somebody like Usain Bolt and instead of using his genetics for sprinting you could throw him a powerlifting and he would rise to the top very quickly most likely.

Look at world record jumpers with like 50+ inch verticals that you have likely never heard of. It took them a ridiculous amount of time and focus just to be able to say they jumped 50inches.

Theoretically you can significantly improve athleticism without millions of dollars at almost any age especially if you have not pulled all of the levers available to you to improve explosive qualities.

He is short like 5'6 and 155 lbs? Maybe he bulked up or something? I haven't heard this name in a long time.

Also I am not sure where this idea that somebody cant be fast because they are white.

He is definitely peak natty and yes it is possible to keep up with nfl cornerbacks if you trained for it for decades. There are people that aren’t in the nfl that are faster than cornerbacks who simply can’t play football. I think Alex is like 5’6” with very explosive genetics. His Olympic lifts number are pretty good to for being self trained. Little explosive ant men like that have a relative strength and speed advantage.

1.
I would never say about someone that he is definitely peak natty. I am not saying he is on something, by the way.
I just found it weird how you said "definitely". You just never know.

2.
Who are these people who are faster then NFL guys at thr 40 yard dash?
From what I see, there aren't many of them and all of them are professional track & field sprinters.

3. Again, I don't want to shit on the guy, he seems quite OK, I just find it weird, just by looking into it. My arguments:

a) all the guys who have this 40 yard dash record are pros. NFL or track field.
b) all of them are pretty young. Yes, Usain Bolt wasn't that young, but he is Usain Bolt.
c) all of them are at least 5'8. At least. Alec is quite short. You need long legs for this.
d) most probably, all of them are on something. They are pros, after all.
e) all of them ran on... I assume... well kept running track. Alec ran on asphalt (?!)
f) Alec is claiming average genetics, from what I remember. And considers genetics to be overrated.
g) same arguments for the 60 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill. These are also very, very good.

I am not saying white folks can't be fast but you can check the fastest 40 yard dash times for the NFL. It's probably all black dudes.

Here are the all time fastest for 100m. It's mostly black folks. I only noticed one non black dude on the list.

There is no reason at all whose main goal is strength, power and speed to run middle distances at all. There is not really team a sport out there that is lactic like a mile run.

Running a mile is not something that you really need to specifically train for. Anyone who is a decent athlete that plays sports should be able to do it at a decent speed without training it. My daughter was running 8 minute miles at 9 years old without training it at all. None of her sports had her running "middle distances". The GPP from being an athlete, and someone who clearly cares about running, makes a timed mile a pretty easy task.

Thus the 5 30 mile!

you can´t buy athleticim, you can make it enjoyable and fine tuned. I mean he just needs a gym and legs to run and money for a good diet and time to get recovering sleep. Basically just effort and living in the first world. You can spend a bilion and it won´t make you fast. Plus random people can have elite or close to peak elite genetics, it´s logical. There are 8 bilion of us and if 0.1% got the elite genetics that´s still 8 milion people with apsolute peak genetics. If you take the 1% it is 80 milion.

I mean Phelps and Bolt are more like the 0.0001% they got everything going on for their sport like 1 out of 100 milion.

But we are just talking about elite and not about worlds best ? I don´t know running numbers. I am genetically a poor runner, probably a good sprinter if I wasn´t too heavy. Problem I noticed and saw on reddit is that my pectus excavatum might give me shitty cardio. That explains always getting picked last at soccer and being bad at distance running. My chest might compress my heart ? I never checked it out. I swear I can not run distance genetically, it has to be genetics. I always could lift weights and train boxing where you do explosive stuff with breaks, also for long workouts. But doing something on a slow pace without rest, I am dying.

You actually can with gene doping.

Your link literally is proving my point with it's chart. It seems many of his other numbers would be considered elite. The 5:30 mile really isn't anything special.
Didn’t you say you ran like an above 6 minute mile? The entire point of him saying it was to prove you can have a decent mile time without even dedicating to the task.

The entire point of this thread is calling these "athletic feats" and questioning if natty people with decent/good genetics can achieve these. Some of those may be athletic feats that you need to be special to get to, but a 5:30 mile certainly is not. Read my first post in this thread.

Within the context of his training history and goals a 5:30 mile is good. If he switched gears and training to get a better mile time obviously he could lower it substantially.

except nobody is arguing against your point. i didn't say he had to have a million dollars, i said it's ridiculous to compare some nobody to freak athletes as if they're the same. 1 is born in the 1% of genetics with all the money in the world to further enhance their elite athleticism into the stratosphere, and the other guy is Joe Schmo drinking creatine in his backyard, all natural, AND IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE ELITE 1% WHO ARE ON STEROIDS?

you must not have read all of the OTHER evidence that i wrote. Usain Bolt is ONE SECOND SLOWER THAN THIS GUY, THINK ABOUT THAT.
