Social Qanon Megathread V1

I thought Q-anon was some 4chan troll shit no?
It is. Kinda like they decided to troll the "ok" handsign as a white power thing. And libs believed it.

I have yet to meet a single conservative who believes in this Q nonsense. But people tend to say you wear the hat for everything negative that comes up on your side. So if you agree with even 1 thing Trump did or Q believes in ,that means to the opposition that you somehow endorse all of it.

Seems irresponsible to blame the liberal media for Qanon moronic beliefs. However, one of the inherent traits of Qanon is finding a way to blame anyone but yourself.
Why is it irresponsible? There are no "inherent traits" of any CTers, by definition, they vary on what they even believe. We all know you're taking the mainstream narrative of everything, but the rest is a scatter shot with a wide range of what they believe and to what extent.

Lol. Google "pyramids" and "sherdog" and we'll start this conversation over.

There's an answer to your second question, not your first. Seems around 1/10 republicans and only a few percentage points of democrats. Polling had questions of chunks individually, and the headlines were "majority of republicans believe Q is at least partly true", because they answered yes to there being an administrative state outside election officials.

The actual interesting question is why people believe in CTs in the first place, and that's when "official" sources lie often enough that you're stuck with people stabbing in the dark at what is true, and there is an outsized response to an incorrect guess at what is true.

Part of it may be an evolutionary trait that was passed down, we look for patterns and seemed to be hard wired to see things that are not necessarily there. Our ancestors saw images in clouds and animals in star formations and 9 times out of 10 they were wrong. However, the one time when they right, the time that it really was a lion in the bushes it saved their asses and it stayed in our genetics.

Now as far as I've read, conspiracy theories are prevalent in the extreme left and right wings but generally conservatives are more prone as they have a stronger distrust in officials (e.g., scientists, government, traditional news and media) than liberals.

I have a friend who is basically a brother who fell deep into this. It's been a never-ending cycle of craziness for almost 4 years and I don't really know what to do. I actually text him the reddit thread that was in here yesterday and he never gave me a response on it. We work together, too, so I went thru a whole day without him mentioning it. My other co-workers keep telling me that he's insisting that there were special ops agents that took Pelosi's laptop and all of this shit is going to happen in the next week and Trump is going to remain President. It's pure psychosis. He's so delusional and I don't know what is going to happen to all of these people once Trump is out of office and they realize they were apart of an actual cult started by a :eek::eek::eek:phile pig farmer and his son.

There's no shock that this friend also goes thru life fads. Religion, veganism, etc. It's all the same people that fall into this. They are lost and or upset at the state of the world and want to be able to place the blame on some grand conspiracy instead of realizing that the complexities of the world make it so.

I'm still sticking by him but man, it is fucking difficult. If his wife knew he was into this she would leave him. No doubt. Even worse, my actual little brother fell into this crap, too. Not to the point of taking part in a rally or protest but he still spreads this bunk info around to people.

Great post. It's no shock most of the lost and angry people you describe have been the most loyal Trump supporters too. FINALLY a non politician who will somehow fix everything that's made their life so miserable. Trump became their new religion which is why it was much harder for them to jump off the bandwagon.

He attracted a combination of the angriest people in America and the dumbest/most gullible much like Q. Not a great base to build on.

The Russian government interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election with the goals of harming the campaign of Hillary Clinton, boosting the candidacy of Donald Trump, and increasing political and social discord in the United States. According to U.S. intelligence agencies, the operation — code named Project Lakhta — was ordered directly by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Any questions?

But it's ok when America does it.

Right?

Why does so much of this stuff point to the Vatican. How are they supposed to be involved?
I worry about what people will do when 1.20.21 comes and goes without a hitch. What will these people do? They have trusted in a false god. Where does that leave them?

I'm with you. But I won't say anything until all of this passes without a hitch, as you mentioned. There's always a scenario where something crazy happens and if it does people will hold onto that.

YOU ARE ON! Better yet, winner gets to pick out the losers new name. How bout dat?

It might take a few months to actually install Trump. Impossible to predict as we are in uncharted waters, however the writing should be on the wall in a week or 2 when SHTF.

Already many dates have come and gone with not a single prediction being fulfilled.
And still the people keep on believing... {<shrug}

From what I gather these Q people are under the impression that the Vatican is involved in satanic child abuse rituals.

Really don’t think they’ll do anything but bitch and moan for a few more months. Truly bizarre how devoted they are to something so fringe and silly.

Sounds like liberalism. It's not your fault you're poor and working part time at McDonald's, we just aren't taxing people with jobs enough

I think it has to do with the fact that the Catholic Church has exported child sexual abuse for decades...

Catholic Church sexual abuse cases are cases of child sexual abuse by Catholic priests, nuns and members of religious orders... Cases have also been brought against members of the Catholic hierarchy who covered up sex abuse allegations and moved abusive priests to other parishes, where abuse continued.[9][10].”

I admit I hadn’t done as much research on QANON as I should have and was only really aware that they pushed hyper right conspiracy theories. I took some time to look into them and some of their claims and I was blown away. My biggest question is, is Q a troll?
These claims are so bizarre and outlandish that I thought it must be some elaborate joke that suckered a lot of people. I mean, they never have proof, nothing ever materializes, but people just keep believing in what they are saying.
My second question is, how many folks are actually bought into this? Has to be a very vocal, but small group, right?

Have you separated the actual messages from Q from his followers outlandish theories? I have never seen Q claiming anything else than that the deep state is real, which basically just means a corrupt government. I could be wrong, haven't payed that much attention. Has Q ever said anything about satanic lizard people running the US, for example?

Started off as some dude basically role playing on 4chan, eventually it took off among the same idiots who share fake news on Facebook, it probably is run by several people at this point.
I've seen some of it translated to Portuguese. I think it's a mix of trolls, grifters, middle aged idiots and mentally ill people.
Trolls invented it, grifters realized they could make money or get votes out of it, your drunk uncle decided to spread it and mentally ill people really believe it and follow it.
And yes there are people in fucking Latin America living in slums hoping that Trump will send a particle beam to interrupt Biden, who is really JFK, from taking over the US government and avoiding the coming of the anti Christ.
