Q&A on Thailand

Vaccine wise the NHS reccomended to me Typhoid, Hepatitus A and B, Tetanus and Diptheria.

They also gave me a list of other potential ones depending on where you're going what you're doing.

- Japaneese encephalitis
- Rabies
- Tuberculosis

If you're up in the north you might want to look at malaria prevention too.

I got the typhoid and Hepitus A ones today. The Hepatitus B one needs to be done over a course of 3 injections in a year so I wont be fully immune to that by the time I go but oh well.

I'm thinking of going to Thailand to train for 6-8 months and since I've never been to Thailand and ill be going by myself i have a couple questions? about gyms, nightlife, etc.

Do you think 6-8 moths is to long for a first timer traveling alone?

What vaccines do you recommend getting?

As for gyms i was i have a couple in mind and was just wondering your guys opinions on them. i plan on training hard and by no means I'm i lazy but i would like to go out about once a moth to party and maybe pick up a bar girl so i would like a gym were i could do that.
The Gyms: Legacy Gym,Ubon/ Chay Yai,Chiang Mai/ True Bee,Pai/Scorpion Muay Thai Gym,Pattaya. or any other suggestions you guys have.

On average how much would a room cost per month? I don't need a huge room just a bed, fan, i would like a tv with ether cable or dvd player since i only plan on going out once a moth but its not necessary.

Whats the best city to train in? which city has the best gyms/fighters?

If you go to Pattaya, you will bet taking a bar girl for than once a month....lol, no way around it. If you go to True Bee, you need to go to Chiang Mai to find a bar girl, there are none in Pai.

When are you leaving for Thailand?

I ask AXelator this because HepB is typically administered on a 0,1,6 mo schedule so it's worth him discussing this with his primary care practitioner and/or his travel doc, unless he's already done so and is specifically contraindicated.

you can get your hep a and b done in a month. They have a rapid dosage plan. the first three shots which covers you up to like 95%...and then you get the last shot a year later. then your good forever

I go on 28th of feb. The doctor said I should be able to get the first 2 and get pretty immune to it, but I won't be 100% immune. Pretty much what Sok Ti said I guess.

Well, remember, the degree of conferred immunity for HepA and HepB are different, even on the Twinrix. I just did a HepB booster last year.

So long as you've discussed this with your doc and you're aware.

There was so much talk about bar girls in this thread! Now I'm confused:redface:
in all honesty most people do just pick up bargirls... been there done that. ive now moved on to finding normal girls, they treat you better, they acually pay for you (food wise and maybe even clothing surprise) and they are probly not full of diseases. this is not appealing to most westerners because they dont want to put in the work, even though its less work than any western girl.

and if you do fuck bargirls, especially more than once please dont use thai condoms. they WILL break

with that rant over i think the rest of this thread should be rid of bargirl talk... however i might need some advice at some point from payak about the crazy mind of a thai woman lol, i thought western girls were nuts.

How do you score with Thai girls without any money? :D

Go to whatever after hours club all the bar girls go to when their bar closes at 2 am. simple.

The real challenge isn't on how to score with bar girls, it's how to get the craziest story while scoring with bar girls. I have some buddies that have some untoppable ones i think haha.

yeah, you should ask your doctor for sure. I'm just going on what mine said, which was i was immune for life after i was done. But i also got my hep b in grade 11 i think...but it wasn't on my record and i had my medical coverage from work pay for my shots, so i just got them again. seriously...180 dollars for twinrx, 445 for *** esphitis and 45 for typhiod. I payed a grand total of 35 dollars hahaha. first time in 6 years i used my benefits...but fuck did they come in handy!

How contagious is Hep B? I'm not planning on sleeping with any bargirls, though I am a good looking guy so..... do condoms stop me getting it? I've heard you can get it from blood transfusions too so if I were to cut somone and they bled on me a bit would that possibly give me it? Can it be passed on through sweat?

I did my Hep B over 3 weeks- which is totally acceptable and what the travel clinic reccomended. You will be fine.

Condoms will offer 99.999% protection from Hep B- so you will be safe as long as you wrap it up before you slap it up
