why do so many of you americans head to tiger.
they must be promoting themselves well in your country.
is it the mma factor cause i wouldn't piss on that camp if it was on fire
Most choose it cause they are afraid of the great unknown and are dying to be around what they consider normal. So a gym with other Americans creates this cohesion for them. Most of those guys will not set foot in the camps in Isaan or Krung Thep because they are ready for that manner of training. Also, when you google, "muay thai training in thailand" the first 2 websites listed are Tiger and Rawai. Then the wood-be muaythai practitioner goes on to those forums and reads what is being said and they think that the training is good cause someone just like them said it was.
The thing that sets Tiger apart from Rawai is the MMA factor. They have guys like Mike Swick and John Fitch going there and doing seminars and they get drawn in by the hype machine. Most Americans are gullible and conditioned very well from TV so accepting bullshit is the norm and they don't even know it. Kind of like how people here stand in line for the latest pair of Michael Jordan shoes at 5am in front of the mall. The only reason why they is to be cool, not cause the shoe will do anything for them besides get them some young high school pussy. The same goes for choosing a muaythai gym, they don't choose it base on what the gym will do for them, they see other people, mainly UFC fighters there and they take the cake. Then they come back and really haven't learned shit other than how to bad mouth someone in Thai.
