@RollSonnenRoll @Frank23 @My Spot has you guys ever heard of this Lucha Libre pilot that WCW filmed back in '99?
It popped up on my Youtube suggestions last night but I never heard of it before, i guess WWE Vault just found it in the warehouse, thats what I call perfect timing
I'm about 3 matches in so far, coulda done without the racist pandering in the beginning but the action is good and the crowd is hot as fuck
Nitro Girls salsa dancing with some Latin studs is best for business
A few classic Lucha Libre clusterfuckery moments in there, the spot where 8 different Luchadors keep jumping off the top rope 1 at a time and missing the splash is so dumb, you think they'd figure it out after the 3rd or 4th guy
Wonder if Eric Bischoff had "pork rinds" in the concession stand
I’m still hot that we never got thatYeah it was supposed to air on Telemundo to combat WWF Super Astros on Univision. I suspect that fell through when the NBA lockout ended and WCW lost their proposed NBC deal (since NBC owns Telemundo).

I'd be the size of Bob Sapp after a week with Busty Ema.
It's a huge butterfly effect for me. We know Eric and the boys didn't give a damn about building to PPVs but they were such marks for ratings. I could see a world where creatively they are forced to build storylines and programs that culminate in 4 seasonal network specials. This keeps WCW steady through 99. Thus never brining in Russo, thus the ratings never tanking, thus all of Time Warners debt being dumped on their books and finally, that damn Jamie Kellner never canceling Nitro. Some reports have it as June 5, others have it as June 6, we here in this thread have already agreed to use the June 5 number just as we have also agreed to use Phil Zacko's number of 87,000 people in Shea Stadium in 1980, only 30,000 over capacity and 50,000 over the reported number
Cody promoting some good ol wholesome Minute Maid Fruit Punch. Glad it ain't more booze!

Agreed, I think that would've given WCW some guardrails/guidelines to fill in the blanks with story and helped tremendously. It's a huge butterfly effect for me.
