@Stargazer Rex I really did enjoy the aesthetics of the film, it looked raw and gritty like a 70's movie, all the dingy sets and primitive looking computer technology was perfect, exactly how it looked in 70's and 80's sci fi films, I very much appreciated that

Yup. That's what all the nerdy Alien marks felt too. That's what I loved about the first two movies and this one captured it nearly perfectly. They even had similar Reeboks that Sigourney Weaver wore in Aliens. Which still makes sense lore wise because Romulus takes place between the first two movies.

The wake up scene is one of my favorites just because of the cold, panning scenes of the dark, industrial ship. Cameron really showing off his practical effects. It's beautiful in it's simplicity

If only they stopped with 3. The newer ones are even worse than Resurrection because they killed xenomorph kayfabe.

@Pliny Pete you are absolutely right about the sound. It was phenomenal. I'm glad I forked over the extra $50 for Imax. The sound has me on the edge of my seat! I didn't know when those big nasty xenomorphs would show up next!

I watched trap today. I loved it. Pure m night through and through. He’s been on fire recently with knock at the cabin, split, and trap.

One thing I notice is that I really like his humor and laugh a lot during his films, but I’m usually in the minority.

It's weird how 2000 WWF was so good yet WM sucked that year.
Do you remember they did a wrestling marathon / countdown like 8 hours or something. I was so exhausted by the time the ppv started. Then it ducked and it was probably my biggest wrestling ppv gathering.

WM All Day, it was an extra $5 on top of the $34.99 for WM16. They showed highlights from the previous WMs plus tributes to wrestlers who had died and also interviews. Ivory was an annoying host.

Yeah I watched that whole damn thing. All I remember is ric flair talking about the iron man match wm12

That's why it's weird that WM2000 sucked though because all the other WWF PPVs that year were bangers.
I agree that it was one of the better years for the ae. That summerslam is one of the best.

The main event picture was so disorganized for wm 2000 and as u mentioned the Anaheim crowd sucked. Not sure why I didn’t go to that show

I've always read that the main event had to have Big Show because it was a stipulation in his contract when he first signed in early 99.
Also it was the first time the heel closed out the show on top.
