@Pliny Pete Corny's latest podcast has some more Sullivan stuff that wasn't on that YT clip from a couple of days ago (including a funny story involving Jimmy Golden and the Mongolian Stomper).

I just saw on Youtube that he did a video about the Dorton Arena documentary, I might check that out, not sure if i can handle that much Corny in one week, though

I was halfway paying attention until that one guy said "Thats not whats best for the company" and that cold hearted moment drew me in big time and my eyes were glued to the screen after that but by that point it was too late to figure out the story LoL

I had a feeling you weren't paying attention. I just wanted you to admit it dammit!

For the record, your grandmother loving horror/monster movies and taking you to see them is one of my favorite Pete story staples. That's so wholesome

My grandmother tried to support my horror habit. She took me to see Anaconda lol. We made it all the way to Ismay getting wrecked off the waterfall and she said "that's it, we're leaving" <lmao>

I love that you said that because, and I swear this is a shoot, after we left brunch we actually drove right past the old liquor store where me and my granny would go on Friday nights to rent VHS tapes, its a Mexican ice cream shop now, and you better believe I told them the story of how me and my granny would go there every weekend to get slasher flicks for her and rasslin tapes for me plus frozen yogurt for us to enjoy and a 12 pack of Oly beer for my granpa LoL

Amazon needs to hurry up and make that Event Horizon show so Captain Miller can finally escape Hell.

@RollSonnenRoll how was your granpa's birthday party, was it a rager?
He recently got hearing aids and it completely changed his life. He's become so much more social and pleasant to be around. He's still not the best conversationalist but at least the's not screaming "WHAT!" at you after every sentence and actually comprehending what you're saying to him

Well, he's still not used to having them and left them at home today so he was pretty quiet and a little confused during dinner. He says in group conversations like that he just hears mumbling all conjoining together. We tried to cater to that but he still just didn't really say much. Food was good though.

I'm gonna take one day this week to detail his work truck for him as a birthday gift. It's gonna take me all damn day and I'm expecting to find a Days of Thunder promotional Hardees cup from 1990 in the backseat.

@Stargazer Rex I really did enjoy the aesthetics of the film, it looked raw and gritty like a 70's movie, all the dingy sets and primitive looking computer technology was perfect, exactly how it looked in 70's and 80's sci fi films, I very much appreciated that

@Pliny Pete Did you like your popcorn bucket tho?

We didnt go to AMC cause brunch went long and we didnt feel like waiting 2 more hours so we went to my beloved Maya Theater where I have a crush on the mocha chocolatte girl in the commercial
I didnt see any popcorn buckets except Borderlands and as I'm typing this I really wish I woulda got one of those, dang it!
