Social Putin or Trudeau?

Who would you rather as a leader

  • Putin

  • Tredeau

Results are only viewable after voting.
That's just it though. The hate for Trudeau was so much to some of these people, that it blinded them to the point where they voted for ruthless strongman dictator Putin, who's an obvious worse option.

The very premise of this thread is a bizarre hypothetical scenario that would never actually happen in real life.

I am sure a lot of people answered it in jest and saw it as an opportunity to take a dump on Trudeau. As a result, it is entirely plausible that they were not answering the question absolutely sincerely.

That's the likely reason, I almost voted for Putin just out of my distain for Trudeau, however when picking your poison putin is far worse.

Which one would you rather have in charge of your country? I know most people on the left would prefer Trudeau, but what about people on the right? Putin is a strong leader and not affected by political correctness, but he is also an authoritarian and extremely violent.

Putin. Trudeau did blackface and stuffed vegetables down pants. Then there's freezing bank accounts and emergency orders. Dunked on by the whole world.

You couldn't find a bigger cuck and piece of shit then Trudeau.

So, here you are agreeing that people can change their opinions of people based on new information.

You are using polling data taken at a time when Trudeau was very unpopular due to the trucker convoy protests and before Putin had invaded Ukraine.

A lot of people were opposed to the vaccine mandates and sympathized with the protestors and condemned Trudeau for his harsh tactics. Putin wasn’t really in the news cycle at around this time as he hadn’t invaded Ukraine until late February.

I can’t speak on behalf of everyone that voted and they have their own reasons for voting how they did. It could be that they love Putin, but it could be that they dislike Trudeau. As Trudeau was probably more prominent in the news cycle at that time and they saw the poll as a way to express their dislike for him.

To use polling data from before a major world event and then present that data after the event to shame and attack people is intellectually dishonest, manipulative and immature on your part.
Why do you keep repeating this lie even after you were corrected? Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014, many years before this thread was started.

That's exactly the point here, you goofs were so blinded by your hatred for Trudeau you picked a corrupt authoritarian war monger over him to prove some point only for Putin to make one of the biggest blunders of the 21st century and make you all look like even bigger fools.

We now have 6 more votes for Putin since I bumped this thread yesterday. Clearly he still has fans here despite his recent actions.

I see why it's a tough choice though. Sure, Putin may be responsible for tens of thousands of Russians killed, with many more maimed, and caused a mass exodus of Russians fleeing the country, not to mention what he's done to Ukraine...but Trudeau did ruin that super cool trucker parade.

If you did swapsies with Trudeau and Putin and said hey a person of Vlad's intellect and experience, you have to lead Canada, and tell a person of Justin's intellect and experience (skiing instructor and substitute drama teacher???) you have to lead Russia, what would happen? Trudeau would be out within a year. Putin would have multiple terms in Canada.

Putin was already known to be a horrible piece of shit in 2021 when this poll was made and the Queen of England smiling at him in 2003 doesn't alter that fact. That's what's intellectually dishonest and immature, although I wouldn't say manipulative, as it is really obvious BS.

Russia is a mafia state where Putin and his oligarchs may have stolen up to $1 trillion from the country, while leaving their infrastructure stalled in the Soviet era in many cases and their people in poverty. They have a GDP per-capita below the world average. The only places that have more suicides per-capita are a handful of the poorest countries in Africa. Putin's ability to last 22 years in the country is due to his despotism, which shouldn't be viewed as something admirable.

If he attempted his clown world hand-fisted thefts in Canada, and murdered people who exposed him, like he does in Russia, I'd hope and imagine the Canadian people wouldn't allow it.

Leading Canada and leading Russia is such a completely different kettle of fish it's asinine to think they would behave in the same way.

Don't forget violating Canadians' Charter Rights, censorship + paying off the mainstream media, freezing bank accounts, raising the cost of living exponentially while diverting money out of the country to support woke causes.

I didn't vote for Putin in the poll but anyone who think that Trudeau isn't a terrible leader who is ruining his own country is drinking the Kool Aid.

I didn't konw Trudeau did any of that.

I mean, maybe I'm ignorant but he was what, filling in for a drama teacher, then said, hey , guess I'll go into politics and became like the leader of a country in two years based on what? It's like could you imagine being a fill in drama teacher, joining Goldman Sachs as a senior exec then becoming CEO in two years?

The whole thing is absurd. Couldn't you just put a potato that spits out cheesy lines and make that the PM of Canada? If it wasn't for his face and father, Biden and Putin probably would have to struggle to remember what his name is.

My favorite is the carbon tax, A few years back A buddy was going over all the taxes that we pay and he made a comment "what the fuck is next tax the air?" Well Trudeau said hold my beer and taxed the air also....added more taxes to gasoline and home heating costs in an already high cost of living Country.

I’m not lying. Prior to the invasion in 2022, Putin or Zelensky etc. wasn’t really in the news cycle or the collective consciousness that much at all (certainly not as much as they are now). Crimea being annexed by Russia was 8 years old news and de facto part of the status quo for a lot of people.

Trudeau on the other hand, was in the news cycle a lot. Due to the vaccine mandates and COVID measures.

Putin would be in prison in Canada.
Trudeau may be out within a year and replaced with a Putin-like individual.

You do realize that's not a bad thing right?

That's like saying "What would happen if you put Trudeau at the head of a drug cartel"?

Best Trudeau hate thread ever. Even the people quasi-defending trudeau are comparing him to putin. How shitty of a leader do you have to be to be neck and neck with putin lol.

I don't think he'd be in prison, there wouldn't be a need nor opportunity. What I'm getting at is people adjust to their surroundings. Trudeau obviously has a fairy-tale job that even amateurs could do. Putin not so much.

Putin was an intelligence agent and worked in other areas of government in the convoluted world of European politics. Trudeau.... taught drama and how to snowboard.

I've firmly drifted to the right in the last few years and here are my thoughts: Russia and Canada are not an apples for apples comparison but Putin is bleeding Russia out permanently, while Trudeau is embarrassing Canada until he gets voted out.

Obviously, Putin is my choice.
I don’t get this. You would rather be bled dry and have your country left in ruins than be embarrassed. How is that not crazy?
