still couldn't tell you what happened in ff15, i never saw the movie...or anime, or prologue <{chips}>
Netflix has the FFXV movie up, and that's what got me to finally try it. It wasn't particularly good, but it was interesting enough that I thought I might enjoy the game. To be fair, the part of the game that is most analogous to that movie is easily the best part of the experience. If they'd focused on that part by doing more to develop some of the supporting characters and fleshed out some of the main story chapters I'd have liked the game a lot more.

Yea I actually enjoyed the movie which got me hyped for the game. It went on a bit long at the end but overall I thought it was pretty good.

I have a feeling there is going to be a decent sized drop of new consoles soon. I haven't seen anything in a couple of weeks and the prices on sites like stock-x have dropped from around $1000 to $750 lately.

Last of Us remake in the works.

Surprised whilst reading that Days Gone won't get a sequel, I haven't played it but I know a number of people enjoyed it.

Plus this kinda fits with the Secret Team narrative that was floating around for a while.

Don't see the point of a remake for TLOU1 the remaster was good enough as it was. You watch if this does get finished, a double pack of both games for PS5 will be released.

"Although the first game had been profitable, its development had been lengthy and critical reception was mixed, so a Days Gone 2 wasn’t seen as a viable option."

WTF

Most of the criticism was absolute non-sense. The game was fun as hell. Fucking Gamespot gave it a 4 because the main character wasn't fucking woke enough.

It sold well.. 5+ million copies.

Which is always tough to do with a new IP.

Game started off slow but I ended up really enjoying it. Shame we wont be getting a sequel.

This composer also did the score for Midsommar
Also a track from the game is on Spotify

I'm only going to hold out until next month. Then the scalpers have won this war and I will be forced to buy a marked up Ps5.

Sigh

Hmm, kind of a disheartening read. Looks like Sony’s plan is to go full creatively bankrupt Hollywood with nothing but sequels, remasters and re-releases. So we can count on Uncharted 5, The Last of Us 3, God of War 2 etc. and not much else.

Also, from that article it’s disappointing that they’re even being lazy on choosing which games to remaster/remake. Uncharted 1 could use a remake way more than TLOU 1 and it’s not even close.

It doesn't sound good but I'll hold out judgement until I see what the results of this are. They are still releasing amazing games and just released another new IP that was a hit in GOT. So while this doesn't sound good I haven't seen anything so far that is making me lose faith in Sony. Their future line up so far also looks great so I can't really complain.

Yeah I’m not in panic mode or anything because AAA titles can still be wildly inventive but it’s the suppression of some of these smaller studios that’s bothering me. I didn’t see the closing of Studio Japan as a big deal but this sounds like a broader issue. Sony creating weird and awesome games was a legacy that always set them apart from every other company.

Days Gone runs so well on the PS5. I was hoping to see a sequel that could really capitalize on the new technology.
The game was great and its alt ending even better. I was shocked yesterday to hear ITT that Sony hasn't interest to produce a sequel that could have been an all-out NERO exposé and Untergang. Titles like this really splash Sony's portfolio in cool colours. When I see the design of the 5, I see a statement to the tune of unafraid to veer from Main St – but calls like this ring the opposite.

The most annoying part is instead of looking at sales and user reviews which were all positive they focused on main stream reviews and decided against it. Metacritic user reviews have it as an 8.

That might be the best looking PS4 game I've played on PS5. I thought the game had promise, just needed some tweaking and tuning and could have been great. Too bad no sequel

Had an odd glitch with my PS5 yesterday, it wouldn’t respond to my controller, so I kept trying to follow instructions to reset the controller but that didn’t do anything. So then I tried an old PS4 controller and that didn’t do anything either. Nor did plugging in either controller. I kept pushing the power button on the console which just puts it into rest mode, and when I started it back up the problem still persisted. Eventually I unplugged it and that somehow fixed whatever the problem was, but my suspicions about buying a brand new console are now on alert. Haven’t ever had any problems like that on my PS3 or PS4 before.
