PS5 announced for 2020 Holiday Season

Being still bitter over Sony soon doing away with Communities, Microsoft now in exclusive talks to acquire Discord has me hoping Sony knows WTF they're doing, lol. Virtually all my PS communities have for 2-3 weeks now uploaded Join Me on Discord images, texts.

Yeah, right next to Calendar/Events (I think this is what the UI reads in the English-language version). Some of my groups have tens of thousands of members with screengrabs, trophy talk, and game comments popping off all the time; I really don't get it and no-one I've talked to has convinced me otherwise.

Think you got lucky with them. Most of the ones I ever saw were busy for the first couple of weeks when it started then died a death pretty quickly.

I usually window-shop to find good ones, admittedly, so one thing I'd read that made sense and in line with your remark here is big picture, the activity just isn't there on a platform-level. I'm not sure if PS has an app to bring discord use in-platform like Xbox does (Quartz, Quarrel something?) but they need plug that hole, IMO. Phrasing.

Discord said a while ago they would of been open to talking to Sony about it, but since they (Discord) approached Microsoft about a deal I can't see it happening

I agree. Something plan-b I'd read is Discord is possibly going public and this dance with M/s is about strengthening their valuation rather than good-faith acquisition talks. I'm not a businessman so I'm not here to front like I understand IPO this, that – I don't, but I thought that seemed equally as plausible.

PS4 users are the vast majority of the player base.

pretty excited about this game. It looks fun for sure, but mostly interested in playing it since it’s one of the first games to hit built from the ground up to only run on the new hardware.

Demons Souls was great and looked fantastic on the PS5, but it was an old remaster, albeit a very good one.

I think the only thing Demons used was the animations. Everything else about it was a ground up remake but I see what you’re saying.
