is it a mistake to get a monitor without HDR? (assuming ps5 hdr/sdr issues are fixed)

there's a samsung i like the look of (u28e590d) but it's non HDR, and there's an ugly as fuck BenQ(?) with apparently subpar HDR both 4k60 under £300

anyone use a monitor for ps5 here? will be using it to save my eyes from going square playing online

Is PSNow like Gamepass?

You can stream games from PS1 to PS4 eras on PS4, PS5 and PC. You can also download certain Ps2 and Ps4 games that are available onto a Ps4.

I think there's about 300 overall you can download.

Last count I think there was close to 800 games on the service overall to play.

Gamepass has more AAA titles overall plus the bonus of having stuff day one.

it's not as developed as GamePass (streaming and all the extra bits) and doesn't get new games on launch but essential yes. A subscription that allows you to play a bunch of games whenever you want to on your console...

PSN's report feature is a fucking joke. Just got called the N-bomb about a dozen times as well as gay slurs by some redneck sounding guy that was supposed to be a teammate on Apex.

No way to report him in game either. Apex's in game works 1 out of 10 times.

Sorry to hear that, brother. No-one should be talked to like that – real talk. And a kingpin live-service title like Apex not having an ease-of-use report feature is weak. You recall his gt? Because we could still send him up the chain and see if a PSN suspension or ban will land.

Wow, and that affected you that badly huh?

You wouldnt have survived in the MW2 era lol.

Just mute them if its that bad and move on. Reporting is for weak people.

I finally got around to playing FFXV. It's good that the game was offered as part of the collection because I'm glad I didn't pay for it directly. It's probably the worst game that I've ever wanted to like. It's a shame because I think the game's premise is the strongest of any FF that I've played, but the game feels so disjointed that it can be hard to appreciate.

At least in terms of mechanics Square did a much better job with FF7 Remake. For 16, I'm hoping they bring over the combat from 7 and do a better job of making the open world feel like it's part of the main quest line. In 15 those two elements barely feel related.

It was worse at launch, it took them a while to get stuff better especially by the time the royal version came out. I hate platted that game and I love FF games.

I remember really enjoying 15 when I finally got into it, but it's the only game I have not replayed

still couldn't tell you what happened in ff15, i never saw the movie...or anime, or prologue <{chips}>

My main issue with the game was the combat. I felt so weak against everyone. Was constantly getting knocked down also. Maybe I just didn't understand it. Unless it was like 1v1 it was a horrible combat system. I was constantly having to dodge. I also thought it was weird to not have like 1 good side quest for each of your buddies. Seems standard in games like this but oh well.

It was messy. I particularly didn't like holding down square/circle to defend/attack. I'm not sure if they were still trying to figure out their balance between an action game and turn-based combat RPG, or if they just couldn't get a proper combo system to work. Holding the buttons down made every button press that required timing (most of the counters) feel unreliable. FF7 Remake's combat is much better and might even be perfect with a higher frame rate.

Exactly. I think it wasn't until the last weapon in the game where it had a reliable combo that made it easier to swing and then hit dodge. Your dads sword I think it was.

FF7 remake did it so much better it's not even a contest really. All the characters are fun to use.

Did you use the spear at all? That was pretty OP and felt like a god using that attack particularly the part where you like teleport above them and slam down.

I think FF15 had some flaws for sure and some are fairly big but overall I enjoyed the game a lot gameplay wise and at the end like 1/4 or 1/3 of the story I actually really enjoyed it. The issue for me mainly was that I didn't really know wtf was going on story wise for most of the game. It made the whole Lunafreya stuff feel kind of whatever. But I will say the bro aspect of the squad built up on me and that salvaged the lack of storyline for a majority of the game.

I think the game had potential to really be amazing. Idk the exact development issues or whatever but it pretty clearly seems like it was a bit rushed and could have used another maybe 6 months to a year to really polish it up and fix some things.

New survival horror title called Abandoned.

Hopefully it will be well reviewed. I love me some horror games.

I'd pay king's ransom for a sequel to Eternal Darkness with realistic graphics.

I did use the spear. The combo your talking about is great but the issue was it was hard as hell to even get that far into my combos if I was fighting a group. I had to pick off stragglers on the outer edge and even then one of them from the group would come after me in the middle of a combo. The story I thought was decent enough.
