Saw this earlier and found it pretty interesting.

Watching it live, I knew he didn't just panic shoot on Paddy, but I also didn't realize it was a result of the leg kicks forcing him into a vulnerable spot where he was out of any better options, so he committed to the takedown only to get wrapped up and put to sleep. And it all happened in a few seconds in real time.

Paddy had notched 2 lackluster wins in a row and they put him against Green, who was 3 and 1 in his last 4 where had put Tony to sleep (Paddy couldn't finish Tony) before knocking out Grant Dawson and then he fucked Jim Miller up pretty convincingly at ufc 300.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I think many here felt that Green was a step up both in ranking and in experience. That if paddy was ever gonna pan out, we'd need to see him get through a guy like Bobby who wouldn't hesitate to engage him.

It was a great win by paddy, he got a great finish over a kill or be killed fighter that had the more impressive wins of the 2 coming in.

Paddy forced him to make an error and he latched onto him until the ref had to pull him off.
