JDS went on an initial 9 fight win streak in the UFC that included first round KOs of prime Cain, a younger Werdum, younger Gonzaga, Yvel and Struve. Plus wins over Carwin, Mir and Big Country. Other fight was Cro Cop quitting due to an eye injury, a fight JDS was winning up to that point.
this is not more impressive

Anyone that doubts prime Fedor simply never saw his run. I give Stipe all of the credit in the world but let's see where this goes. I don't get the fascination (Helwani is super guilty) of wanting to call someone GOAT after every single fight. Didn't people learn their lesson with Rousey and the countless other examples in history? Let this thing play out. Stipe may very well rule HW until he retires but hold your horses.

Big surprise,Fedor wins. Glory be to Fedor (his name be praised)

Bubby r´tard as usual.

You spelled retard wrong.
Does seeing it spelled correctly trigger your ptsd from years of the other school kids making fun of your obvious disabilities?

Quit projecting.

Ps. 33 isn't old. He wasn't on a downslide before werdum.
Don't mention rogers, all of us fedor fans made fun of people overstating rogers' success, only for the irrational ones to suddenly claim fedor was geriatric during it.

I'd sure love to see that fight. Would have been very interesting.

LOL...i didn't even include nelson, hunt, or gonzaga for stipe. Just the first round ko streak.

and wasn't crocop collecting disability by the time he fought jds?

We were talking about streaks I thought?

JDS beat all of those fighters in a row. Nelson, Hunt and Gonzaga aren't in Stipes streak because he's had multiple losses in between all of those wins.

And yes, that obviously was not a prime Crocop win but it was still decent.

This is not a knock on stipe in any ways, but honestly, his rise is similar to Weidman's.

Comparing to the many opponents he has fought, he is relatively young in terms of fight age, has less wear and tear, less fights, started fighting only in 2010. He is simply fresher, therefore, a more durable fighter. Especially when compared with fighters that are aging and already in their decline with weaker chins, a war torn body, and YIPS like effect when they fight - too much hesitation and simply couldn't pull the trigger any longer.

He is a good fighter, a B+ in all areas, but not exactly extremely good at any. But in a way I do believe he is similar to Weidman's rise to power... being well rounded, fresh, durable, and most importantly, being at the right place at the right time.

Same can be said about the other B+ in all areas fighters who burst onto the scene... Mitrione, Brandon Schuab, Weidman, etc etc..

Fedor and all his opponents started mma at pretty much the same time, fought each other in their prime.

1. Big Nog (Dec)
2. Cro Cop (Dec)
3. Andrei Arlovski (KO)
4. Tim Sylvia (KO)
5. Mark Coleman (Sub)

Stipe started in 2010 with a total of 19 mma fights

1. Werdum (KO) started in 2002 with 28 mma fights (kind of lost that by being too cocky imo)

2. JDS (KO) started in 2006 with 23 mma fights BUT has taken considerable damage.

3. Overeem (KO) started in 1999 with 58 mma fights, 14 kickboxing fights.

4. Andrei Arlovski (KO) started in 1999 40 mma fights and has taken a lot of damage over the years.

5. Mark Hunt (KO) started in 1999 with 25 mma fights, 2 boxing fights, and 43 kickboxing fights with a style that takes a lot of damage.

Would be nice if new fans are able to think more analytically and consider more factors involved instead of only the surface evidence they see.

Moron.

Fedor won the HW belt in 2003 and defended against Mirko in 2005 (his prime)

He lost in 2010.

Do you think Stipe will be in his prime 5 years from now?

Dumbass.

I think stipe is in his prime now. He's 34.

Still no retort. You dont even deny that fedor is wild haymaker swinger with telegraphed punches. The moment he stepped on US soil he got exposed 3X in a row. Thats called being overrated, the hype was massive around that time and he straight up got beat down and scurried back to europe to fight his usual cans and got instant victories lol.

-Of course I deny that Fedor is a wild haymaker swinger with telegraphed punches.

-I just didn't bother posting the evidence because you're an idiot and wouldn't understand anything about it because he doesn't use standard western boxing.

-You're the same type of idiot that would say Igor Vovchanchyn had terrible striking.

-He actually won his first several fights on U.S. soil.

-It's not hype when you've won 27 fights in a row, mostly by first round finish in straight up embarrassing fashion... and didnt lose a single round doing it.

Cro crop won the pride grand prix, after 5 months came to the ufc and got his head knock off. That's Fedor best win ri?
