Theyve indicated the preds arent total asses many times. There was one who fought on the human side in... I forget the movies name where there were aliens and predators that fight with each other but not in an octogon and are pitted against one another in a confrontationary manner. The Predator did kill some innocent people in that one but yes he ended up teaming up with the lady in the final act.

To be fair, theyd probably look at humans as killers of all other species so im sure they wouldnt be thinking...these people are innocent!

The man who directed the last Predator movie (Prey), Dan Trachtenberg has something different planned for his next Predator movie, Badlands. It releases 2025.

From the article:

“The creature is front and centre, leading the charge,” Trachtenberg grins, speaking to Empire in the Andor Season 2 issue. “He’s still badass, but there’s something there that touches you emotionally, too. Creating a character you connect with, but are also super-intimidated by, has been challenging. But exciting.” The idea, he says, came from a desire to “find another essential piece of cinema that does what Prey did spiritually — pushing the franchise’s boundaries, letting us root for a hero we rarely get to root for — but in a different way. And that transformed into this big idea of rooting for the Predator.” Finally, the ugly mother-effer’s day has come.

While audiences will be asked to empathise with Badlands’ dreadlocked hunter, there will be humans in the mix too – notably Elle Fanning, who will play more than one character.

Interesting take to have a Predator that you emphasize with. I do like that they’re going in a new direction instead of rehashing the same old shit over and over again.

Makes you wonder what he looks like when he’s crying. I bet that would be hilarious. Also, if there’s a sex scene do you think they’ll give him dreadlock pubes? I mean, he’s gotta have dreads down there, right?

Its now a fad in Hollywood for years. There cant be any villains anymore but they are the real antiheroes while the superbaddies are racist people in our environment. Its pushed nonstop be that Rings of Power (poor Orks) ...etc.

This is nothing new but just following ideology. You will see when it releases. Expect some white men to be the ultimate villains.
