Felt 10 times better today with just these small changes in my nutrition.

When in doubt, do some curls.

Curls are at the top of the food chain.

Can never go wrong with KSE when lifting. Also been listening to August Burns Red, Alexisonfire and even some old punk like Nofx and Bad Religion lately.

KSE has permanently been on my phone for the past few years. Great for lifting.
I'll probably add some of those bands for a change; I like them too.

I always think I should switch up my playlist but I never end up doing it; I probably have been listnening to the same shit for a full year now.

In other news, Hatebreed is coming to Edmonton on October 1st. I'll most likely attend.

I'm pretty sure Roses of Sharyn was playing every time I deadlifted 500lbs or more.

Trivium is also always on my playlist.
 
Reject Yourself. Rose of Sharyn is great, too.

I like the album Ascendancy a lot, more than the other releases.
 
I need to get Apple Music and start compiling playlists for my training. Right now I don't train to music other than the Lionel Ritchie that plays over the speakers at the gym.

Going to ramp up posing moving forward; got to get used to flexing for a long period of time.



Buendia did it again! 3rd year in a row first place. I think his strength is proportion. Pause the video at 3:09. It doesn't get much better than that. Maybe a bit more traps, but that's it.

Poston placed 7th. Wow... I think the posing cost him, it looked pretty simple.

They changed the whole posing routine, and it's pretty disadvantageous for me.

First, no more quarter turn in the opening; it's now front back front.
On top of that, you need to have hand on the hip the whole time, even when on the back stance.

No more lat flare, that sucks.
I have a hard time extending my lat when my hand is on my hip, but I guess it'll be the main focus for the next 3 weeks.

Great workout. Did bodyweight lunges in the warmup and the left glute felt perfect. Might jump in on that deadlift contest.

One of my gym buddy's wife will be judging. He told me not to get too lean, they'd rather a competitor a bit fuller than too lean.

Got an hernia. I couldn't care less. I just ate a big poutine with donuts. I feel so much better now.
 
I had a mental breakdown and ate everything in sight for a few hours bro.

I could realistically do a week of arms, shoulders, calves, and cardio and still compete...
I'll stop the bleeding now and assess the damages in the morning.
 
BW: 177.4lbs

A bit bloated but it's not too bad. I'm going to cut the carbs for a few days and increase the cardio, see how it goes.
