Post Your Gloves/Gear

Yeah, that's what i'm getting at. I don't advocate for it, i just do it because it's all i can do at this point. I hate it. There is no benefit, no improvement, and nothing good about it whatsoever.

I think you can get to a point where you know what you are doing on the bag(s) and don't really need to be coached on the bags all that often. Coaching is imperative in sparring (obviously)
 
Sometimes your put in a position where you want to improve and have no guidance from an actual trainer.

Video can provide that insight and help you improve incrementally. Mix that with gym experience, literature, and youtube, you can build a pattern of less mistakes.

It's not ideal, nothing replaces a trainer.
 
Yeah thats what I do. I keep archives of fighters training on a hard drive and always find ways to get my hands on training footage. I started doing this when my ex-coach stopped coaching the gym and started drinking heavily instead. Also, collecting fights and footage is my favorite hobby besides boxing itself. Not exactly a well rounded person :P

To be honest though after a while it just makes you jealous watching guys with great coaches in videos when you're coachless lol.

Inb4 people think the gloves on the extreme sides are actually that much larger than their counterparts without realizing how camera's are convex/concave lens arrangements that cause this illusion.
 
That and the fact what angle I took them at, obviously I was centered on the 2 inner most gloves so its a straight on shot.

Your girls gloves are the hottest thing in this thread btw. Nice pink orbit gum to really bring out the hot pink in the zepols!

How does she like them btw, and are you gonna get her pink elastic laces instead of the ribbons?

How are your new zepols treating you my friend?

I like the C17s too, that's right Shihtzu I said it! :)
 
Wow how are those R2C airmitts performing? They look elite as hell. lemme know brother, Muhammad is making my custom mitts as we speak, and I see him lurking as well :)

she really only trains with me, so I just put some black laces in there. You like the gum in there to really show the hot pink off, lol

I love those Zeps, I feel kind of bad that I can't give each glove the amount of rounds that it deserves, lol. I don't know how you can keep a set rotation on the amount of gloves that you have...

I just use them with the wife, and I got them for super cheap off Gus but I really like them. Craftsmanship is top notch, leather is nice, I totally recommend them.

You are getting custom mitts too?????
 
I train with others in my home gym brotha! I have my don't touch stash lol. But my buddies really like my Red/black/white boxeo and the C17s the other friend uses my Fighting S2s.

They use em, they clean em, But yeah the 3 pairs of Reyes, winning, etc. Then I have my precious Beaulieu White/red/golds that I ONLY use for sparring. I don't think those gloves have put more than the 1st 3 rounds on the bag.
 
Yeah I had my mitts on order for awhile they should be shipping in about a week I hope. Muhammad got flooded so it pushed the work back a bit, luckily nothing was damaged, but I don't think he could work for a few days.

that's nice. I loaned out my Gels to a buddy a while ago and I always bring my IMFs to the gym with me, and let people use them. I don't let people use my Mexican gear though, haha and when I get my Winnings and eventually Beaulieu stuff, those won't get loaned out either.
 
I just bought those blue Tygun IIs as well at a good price. Have a pair of Tygun I boots but want to swap out sometimes.
