Nice. Did he mention where they were made. I saw a few gloves he had posted recently, the split red/white and a pink pair.

I am curious too. There are some cheap velcro gloves Bill is listing on ebay - those were made in Pakistan, but I guess these are not made there... at least I hope...

These were also made in Pakistan, but I don't think that should put you off too much. The quality is very good. Those velcro gloves he has up aren't real leather, more expensive lace-ups are of course.

The ones I bought are slightly different to the Pinks he has up for sale now but they look nice too

I've seen those on ebay, how good are those, I don't see any brand on them.

I was just curious because the have no branding. I agree, Pakistan makes some quality gear as well.

I'm really liking them. They're very protective and the craftmanship and materials used is high end. I'm still breaking the foam in but so far no complaints.

They don't have branding because at that point he was still finding someone to do the decals on the glove. I think Juan was helping him but I don't really know how that turned out. He told me:

The satin label these days are covered by tape most of the time and all manufacturers have gone to the backhand logo or decal.

I am trying to locate the source for these stickers or decals, similar to Reyes and Grant that
are heat transferred to the leather.

^Was also selling them and a velcro equivalent so I think maybe she(?) works with the same manufacturer possibly.

And here's Billboxing's ebay:

his current batch look completely different to mine, not as top heavy (though I wanted lots of padding over the knuckles for my weak hands) , thumb is more curved, different cut of padding along the wrists , no padding on the palm and really like I said just completely different cut

really liking how they look though, hope one of you guys picks up a pair to review ;)

edit:

another cool colour scheme:

wouldn't be surprised at all if he did custom colours

I see you are a fan of welted seams. :icon_lol:

I don't know when they switched from welted seams to the regular seam, so I'm unsure of the age. Yes the wrist feels like cotton.

Unfortunately the main foam is rock hard, they're just a show piece.

I think welted seams just look better honestly! Much more neat.

the padding thing reminded me - someone offered me some older style Thaismai gloves recently. There was no shape to them and the padding felt just like hard, lumpy sand inside. I thought maybe moisture could do that to a glove?

edit: found someone say
When foam gets repeatedly soaked with sweat and dries over time it gets very brittle and hard like stones.
so I guess so
