@Gregolian: How do you like the Platinums?
They are surprisingly.. well, soft but they have been holding up pretty good and gave me more than enough cushioning that I didn't feel too much when I worked on mitts with them. Course, I did just get them today so this could all change.
and below is my current gear along with the new stuff
Current collection is Twins 12 oz , Twins 16 oz Top King Shin Guards ,Rogue BAMMA Shin Guards and Fairtex MMA Gloves.

They will just get softer lol. I was looking into these but Title has to many..."series"
Like, I am not sure how to describe them. Like, I could see using them as pillows almost but they are still pretty stiff. My only real issue is I have rather large wrists and forearms on to velcro them shut only like maybe at most 1.5 inches of the velcro is used at the very end of the strap.
Oh well, they were $170 gloves I got for like $40 on sale. They will cut it for me for awhile.
And, by the "they will just get softer" that's bad isn't it for bag gloves.
Those are bag gloves? Yeah I should have known, they do look like bag gloves. In that case, no they will most likely not get softer....well they will but not as much as a sparring glove would. And it takes a lot longer.
SSSSOOOOO, did I get an OK deal?
I didn't get sparring gloves because I have a friend that has two pairs and I always use his slightly newer pair. Apparently I hit hard even when I try not to.
Hell yeah you got a good deal. Those are some nice bag gloves for the price.
And yeah I uhh...hit hard when I uhh..."try not too"...:icon_twis
I'm new and when the experienced guy goes "go ahead and don't go full bore but do put some weight into it" I get confused.
4 years ago I didn't know wtf that meant either. It was either throw a punch to knock you out or throw a punch so slow and weak that you don't mind catching it with your face.
Thought i'd post my gear up after getting a large package this morning with some new equipment
