Once the post ps2 generation systems came out, I pretty much was done. I got the wii cause I liked Nintendo and it was diverting but after playing DK Country and a few others, I didn’t really continue.

Competitive multiplayer is just not my thing cause I’m not good enough in those games like COD and you’re up against people who will decimate you if you’re a notch below. I could camp out but it gets a bit dull after a while.

I think one of the things that I always found tough to master was the dual controls for moving vs. moving your perspective. In games like Perfect Dark and Goldeneye which I loved back in the day, you didn’t have to worry about such things.

it just seems like gaming among my friends is way different now. Those types of self contained games don’t seem to be nearly as popular. Competitive multiplayer seems to be where it’s really at.

These days when I try to go back and play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark I can't play more than 10 minutes, the one joystick is horrible.

Damn I’ve never played the 7800 before. Sounds futuristic!
Most people that had the 7800 didn't play it either, the controllers were garbage and broke if you looked at them wrong.

I got double figure wins in warzone brah!

I got a few friends I meet up with every week to play, we're using cod, dying light and farming simulator at the moment.

It's basically the only socialisation I get, after lifting and sport and that was before the Rona.

I had a 086 pc with Sopwith Camel on it, played duck hunt and all that. Home gaming basically grew up with me.

I'll play till I die.

Well there it is. Do you still play if your past the age of 30? Will you always play? Do you remember Duckhunt? *Raisehand*
At the moment, I play gta online and that's all. I've kind of lost the enthusiasm to play much else as I just seem to get bored. Metal gear was one of my favourites and I still always have an interest innlookikgbatbwhstsbnew on the shelves. But mainly for my boys now, all 3 of them love games. I often just sit and watch, and my reflexes aren't what they used to be. I grew up on joysticks then onto Nintendo through to ps1 - ps4 had them all. But I've never fully adapted to those wobbly sticks that are present on every console controller now. So I've never gotten good enough. Pc gaming is probably where I should be at.

I'd guess I stopped playing them "seriously" in my mid/late 20's and afterwards only simple online stuff or the odd bit of revivialism. Wasn't really about "growing up"(i'v luckily avoided that fate so far) so much as things just seemed to peak in my interest in the early 00's with Halflife Team Fortress Classic and StarCraft online, what followed seemed like it wad dumbing down and playing with the expectation to win became more pressure than fun.

The best part about being older is being to afford any game, console, pc upgrade etc... The worst thing is not having as much time

This is why I've loved the lock down, and being single again, I've never played more vids, at least not since my NES tecmo bowl days.

I stopped for a very long time, but bought a switch last fall when my wife started her grad program after work. I Have a few hours a couple nights a week alone, the games are fun and pass the time.

The last time I played video games was 4 years ago. Played hearts of Iron to kill time while I was recovering from surgery, but even by that point I didn't care for it as much as I used to.
I wasted way too much of my life conquering imaginary foes on a computer screen when I could've been bettering my actual life.
It's a giant waste of time. I imagine how much better I would be as a person if I used all that time playing games on something productive.
I could've developed skills that make money. I could be speaking a couple different foreign languages.
The same could be said about being on sherdog or going out to party, but at the very least with the latter I could say I'm interacting with people and improving my social skills.

Everything in moderation. Nothing wrong with playing a few hours a week.

Don't play video games at all really but I'm a sucker for a good RPG. TES Skyrim, Witcher 3, and the FF7 Remake have been my last three.

FF7R was very disappointing for me. They changed too much, didn't add enough, and what they did add was meh. It also wasn't long enough to justify paying full price for part of a game. Original FF7 is on my GOAT list.

My nephews got me to play fortnite with them over LocKdown. Hadn't played games since COD first came out on xbox360, maybe 15 plus years.

Wholly shit I was so terrible. Now I'm Damn near 50 and addicted to this stupid fucking (amazing) game. 8 year olds have come a long Damn way in gaming that's for sure.

I play and I don't think I'll ever actually stop.
I love Grand Strategy (EU, HOI, CK, Civilization).
Also big fan of Kingdom Come Deliverance, Skyrim, Fallout and sandbox games like Rimworld.

I'm totally not against it, but once I hit 18 years old, I couldn't go back. To this day I feel like I outgrew videogames.

Borrowed the nintendo switch from my office a couple of weeks back. That's the first time I played video games in a long ass time. Debating buying the Zelda game.

I thought I was over it a while back I probably went 6 months without touching a video game, then last year I got a Switch and it re sparked my desire to play, you could play NES and SNES classic games for free in it as well, during quarantine I play with my brother who lives across the U.S. and he is one of the people I grew up playing video games with.

Video games particularly Nintendo are a big part of my childhood and life, and there's no greater replay value than nostalgia.

The only excuse to not play video games in your 30s is your kids are currently too young to play
my boy is 4 and he is killin it at madden. May install 2016 soon so he can play a game that is older than he is.

I stopped for years in my 30's at some point but have started to play a little in the last 6 months. I'm 46 now.
