fuck no. i graduated from computer games to Ableton. now i produce music instead.

Yeah I'm 40 and I still play but now I typically have a maximum of 2-3 games in my rotation because I've come to realise that I'm not actually that good in general so I limit my failures to Red Dead 2 and Modern Warfare

Yes. Little time though with raising children, but if I am not too tired in the evening I hop on.
Currently playing "Mercenaries" on the original X-Box. I am on the final suit of playing cards.

Post 30 yeah, post 40 nah. I tried getting back into gaming a few times in recent years but that shit just doesn't grab me anymore.

Kicked the habbit about 4 years ago now. Used to play CS pretty competitively.

It hurts because I miss it everyday but I think it's for the best when it comes to life in general.

I played them pretty solidly up until about 10/11 years ago when my first son was born. Obviously once he came along I had a lot less time to play and found myself barely using my 360 at all. Fast forward a few years and he started to get interested in games, only platform and sports games really, so I’d occasionally play with him but never really on my own.

Then we got him an Xbox One several years back and since then I have bought a couple of games for myself, Fallout and a couple of COD games which I enjoy a lot. Still don’t really have much time to play them though, unless it’s late at night and everyone else is in bed. I’m usually a few drinks deep by that point so usually get smashed online lol.

I saw they had GTA5 on Game Pass now and I’d love to play that but I know I just wouldn’t have the time to play something that immersive. My son really only plays Minecraft, Fortnite and FIFA and none of those games really interest me.

Street Fighter stay, add few japanese games but not many, like one new game every 3 or 4 months

Yep been playing a lot since quarantine despite not even being layed off yet. They are a pretty cheap form of entertainment. Modern games are amazing. Currently on my third Assassins Creed game in a row.

I haven't played in years, but bought an Xbox One during lockdown which I've been playing.

I do, and like many ITT have been playing more while lockeddown.

While I don't think there's anything wrong with gaming at any age I do think this generation has had a negative impact on films and gaming through our refusal to drop our childhood.
It used to be that games and films like Star Wars, Superhero films etc. would be aimed at children or young adults. It seems that nowadays the target audience is the 25-40ish market which is why we have all these rehashes of old franchises cashing in on nostalgia and so much of the conversation around this media being led by angry adults pining for the 'good old days'.

Not much these days, but if I can have a long string of play time I can still get into them. The thing that puts me off of most games are long, hand-holding, intro levels (main reason I couldn't get into Kingdom Come)...throw me into the fire or at least make them non-tedious.

...that said, I could play simulation games all day long (Total War, Cities: Skylines, etc.).

I've been playing console games since I received my NES in the 80s. I never stopped playing, but I play less often now. I meet up with my friends from back home once a week to play online, so I'm scratching my gaming itch and keeping in touch with my buds.

Also, when it comes to single player games I'll pop the difficulty on "easy" and no longer go trophy hunting/collectible crazy. With the limited time, I just want to play through the game, enjoy the story, and then move on to the next one.

Nope

I played Madden and NBA Live from the early 90s to when I was about 25. Then I had kids, and video games didn't interest as much any more.
Yup i had every year of madden from beginning super nes days. Im 35 and havent really played since high school but got my son ps4 and been getting down on some NBA 2k20 lol

Im addicted to buying every call of duty every year like a sucker and im 34.

Yes.

The 80s got me addicted to sugar, video games, and corny power ballads. I'm doing my best to combat the first two, but that last one I'll most likely never get over.

Only ones I can play with my kids.....fortnite, minecraft, NBA, and a bunch of other co-op style games. I don't sit and play my own games anymore. Once in a while I'll go through an Age of Empires scenario or something but that's about it.
