Yes.

I am a father of a 10 year old girl and husband to my beautiful Wife.

My daughter loves the sims

Wife loves the Witcher series

I’m a tarkov and HOI4 man myself.

We only play PC games at home and switch when on the road, flights etc.

Unfortunately I can only spare and hour a day to gaming.

The last time I played video games was 4 years ago. Played hearts of Iron to kill time while I was recovering from surgery, but even by that point I didn't care for it as much as I used to.
I wasted way too much of my life conquering imaginary foes on a computer screen when I could've been bettering my actual life.
It's a giant waste of time. I imagine how much better I would be as a person if I used all that time playing games on something productive.
I could've developed skills that make money. I could be speaking a couple different foreign languages.
The same could be said about being on sherdog or going out to party, but at the very least with the latter I could say I'm interacting with people and improving my social skills.

Dude I can't beat the snake guy. Wtf is the secret. Third boss?
Summon a helper. I don’t think there is any real secret to that boss, he just has a lot of health for that early. I don’t think he has a weakness either. What weapon/s are you using

these guys that say they don't play. Why?

I'm just using the spear 1p. I forget to ask for help

Ah I haven’t used the spear. Some weapons are better than others for different enemies. My current character is using kusarigama and dual swords. I know the kusarigama is pretty tough to use against the snake so I switch to dual swords for him. Not sure what stacks well with spear. Maybe the Axe?

Fuck yeah. To the grave, son.

Since 8 to now 40. From those old Ataris to the PS4. Shit, that’s why I got into boxing so heavy. It’s like the ultimate video game for me. In reals.

I’m a zoomer in my 20s and haven’t played for almost 2 years now.
It’s a giant waste of time and I’ve done better use of my time since.

Gamers are also pathetic weirdos who take games way too seriously. Video games give you false sense of accomplishment. The only thing you gain is a lot of wasted time and all these “achievements” are meaningless.
It’s suppose to be fun but some of these gamers think it’s their life by “competing” in a meaningless virtual world.
It’s okay as a past time but if you’re grown man playing too much and taking it seriously past the age of 24 then you really need to get a life.

I try to play but some games do not hold my attention like shit like fallout did
I agree Pt 3 is one of my all time favorite games,
I got it right before I had a few surgeries so all I could really do was sit inside and play games.
I logged over 150 hours wandering and going thru all the expansions, or replaying parts to see how the different choices played out. Plus totally dug listening to the radio in that game, It was rad listening to THREE DOG and hearing him talk about the stuff you did quest wise.

New Vegas was cool but didn't care much for the desert setting, they always kinda bore me.

Haven't really had a chance to get into 4 much
Idk I tried but it just wasn't the same, I'll probably go back at some point though.

I also have trouble getting into games now, I feel like Some of them forget they are supposed to be fun, it's either too much like a movie which gets boring, I want to play not watch.

Or

They don't seem as complete, because they know they can add dlc later and monetize the shit out of it. I miss games having replay value which didn't involve multiplayer, or unlockable stuff that was in game and I don't have to pay extra for, it made things more interesting and fun.

39 year old here

Hell yes I play, that's me and the kids' "family game night", me and old friends and family from across the country (I'm military) "guys night" and my own personal "fuckit I'm not doing shit" time.

It's not my only thing, I run, hike, hunt, fish and Judo, but yes I grew up in the videogame boom and it's a hobby that still stands the test of time.

Video games take too much time and energy. I do wish they would make really good virtual reality that could simulate travel. Like I want to climb mount Everest without actually having to do it.

You could just watch a go pro vid on youtube then.

i'm 40 and I play a few hours on my days off when everyone goes to bed..usually rdr2 ..definitely not as much as I used to

Heck yes, I love playing video games with my kids. When I'm home they kick my ass at Mario Kart, and when I'm on the road we play Minecraft and they put me to work underground like a slave fueling their above ground adventures.

I do but nowhere near as much as I used to.

I enjoy adventure games like Elder Scrolls and 7 Days to Die, something that allows me to do what I want without forcing me into some rigid storyline.

Yea , still have a PS1, PS2, PS3 and a PS4.

Don't get a lot of time it seems to play but recently got into the Resident Evil 3 reboot. Okay but too short and not enough puzzles. Got the RE2 reboot to thoroughly go through yet , Mr X kept pissing me off when he just turns up.
