Watching porn definitely gave me ideas I never thought of, good and bad.
Thank god!!Porn 100% increases the risk of step sisters getting stuck under tables.
listening ...Watching porn definitely gave me ideas I never thought of, good and bad.
Maybe I'm weird, but I'm trying to find the relation as far as there's some dude who feels like going to rape someone and just decided to go to Pornhub instead. Like how does work? Is he saying "I feel like raping....no, wait, just a porn vid will do." Just seems odd.
Decades ago there was a furious debate going on about whether easy access to porn increases or decreases rape.
That debate is pretty much settled now as the numbers all point to reduced rapes once porn becomes easily accessible.

So my question is, what does this mean for society? The basic premise is that if we give people a little taste of what they desire, they won't feel as compelled to gain it by victimizing others.
Take that other thread about the chick being photographed while sunbathing. Would those dudes be following her home or doing other dangerous behaviors if they couldn't take photos to masturbate to later?
And what about pedos? Sexual assault on children is the most heinous crime imaginable and we'd do anything to reduce it, but surely we can't just allow pedos to have child porn. Even if you didn't allow the creation of new stuff so no more kids were exploited, and let them view only the existing stuff in a controlled environment with a therapist, that still just seems so wrong.

Thank God those poor hamsters are safe now
Thinly veiled Pro NAMBLA thread.......
What’s the North American Marlon Brando Look Alike Association have to do with anything??Thinly veiled Pro NAMBLA thread.......
Porn rewires your brain and takes away your sex drive if you watch too much. I can see it doing something for the odd person, but no it’s only going to fuel/foster those desires over a long period and make a bad person worse IMO. You hear about these sickos getting into all sorts of weirdo fetish shit and then attempting to (or really) acting them out with unwilling victims - desires they never would have had they never been exposed to the internet porn.
Rape goes a lot deeper than watching porn, a lot of those serial killer rapist guys do it as a power thing, not sexual. The article also states “sexual assault” in some things and “rape” in the other, we all know how those definitions can vary.
If it’s down I’d bet it’s in ratio only, as in the number of people doing it has gone up significantly, but so has the population since whenever so it creates a “smaller” number. I call bullshit on that article, personally.
You're more or less correct. But then you have those individuals who can't control themselves who go deep into the no-fap & anti-porn cultures who would like to see a prohibition on adult material. This leads to the argument of whether normal, well-adjusted people who occasionally use porn for entertainment or the enhancement of their sex lives should be denied it because of the relatively few individuals who become addicted to it. I think not. There is a delicate balance to using porn. You have to make adjustments of usage so you are not a sex crazed person on the hunt all the time and/or frying your dopamine receptors from using it too much.

To be fair I would say it's more than just a few individuals who become porn addicts Turg.
