He fought JDs near tail end of his prime the first time. Got punched around but came close to winning.

I know that he beat ngannou but that version was green and Most people believe that he gets KTFO if they rematch.

Stipe has one of the weakest resumes ever for a Champion and people claim that he’s a better HW then Fedor.
The Stipe "is the HW GOAT" opinion is hyperbole. However, Stipe fought in the UFC. That other guy didn't.

Who cares. The HW GOAT did this LMAO!!!

Beat up a 40 plus year old LHW who said he’s about to retire?

He is asking about prime

Fedor never had an embarrassing prime lost like miocic did to Struve
make it less obvious, clown shoes

theres not a GOAT candidate who doesnt have an embarrassing loss, and you dont get to decide when stipe's prime began, nor when fedor's ended

these washed up fighters u say are far more dangerous and skilled than prime hw fighters fedor fought..
i know its hard to accept it

He fought who was there... prime or not those were the top guys in our sport at that time.

That is the landscape what more can he do, that was/is the situation.

And yea I get your point hard to call him HW GOAT when you look at the big picture but he has the stats and you can't overlook them they are hard to get and he has them for a reason or else others would have been in his shoes.

I honestly believe he won that first JDS fight and that was prime jds if you ask me.

I don't see anyone on the Fedor resume Stipe does not wreck... But nostalgia is a bitch..

Fedor at 34 was pretty close to Prime Fedor. Fedor losing to Bigfoot is equivalent to Stipe losing to The Skyscraper.
Clearly you've seen nothing of the man's career to claim he was in prime anything at 34.

Struve was Stipe's 10th pro fight. Fedor fought Schilt in his 12th.

That's a better comparison to career equivalents, both in timing and style/size.

Hahahaha haha... come on dude @
But fedor beat babalu, haseman, hasedall, schilt, herring, valavicius, fujita, goodridge, nagata, ogawa, kohsaka, zuluzihno. They were 8n their prime mannnnn.

He's fought several fighters in their prime, but almost all of his best victories were over past prime fighters.
He still has a MUCH better resume than Fedor if we're being honest though. It's not like he's fighting guys that can't defend an arm-bar or 300lb freaks with no athletic ability. Add to this, he would beat Fedor up.

I feel like Fedor is greater, but Stipe is better. It sorta like comparing Jim Brown to Adrian Peterson. Brown is historically the greater running back in terms of his legacy and impact on the sport, but in no way shape or form was he better than Adrian Peterson.

WRONG

Werdum may have been in his 40's but he was looking better than ever, just fought like an idiot against Stipe for some reason. DC may have been old, but the guy didn't even enter MMA until his 30's anyway who knows what DC's limit may have been if he had got into the sport in his mid to late 20's but we can't speculate, DC is an elite fighter even in his 40's. Overeem had lot of bouts underneath him but he was on a tear up until he fought Stipe and gave him a good fight, I don't think we saw a big decline in Overeems ability until the Werdum rematch.

Hunt, Cro Cop, JDS (Second fight), Arlovski were all very road worn and the tail end of their careers. Still very respectable victories though, without a doubt the greatest UFC HW of all time.

Ngannou literally gets bodied by Ron Waterman and it's not even close.

No, he never fought no prime HW, what's more he was never in his prime, from the very start he was past his prime and all in all HW is nothing but a figment of imagination.
