I'm honestly shocked he's come this far. He has virtually no experience, he's unfiltered, fairly obnoxious, etc. I realized he would gain a bit of a following due to the simple fact that he isn't a politician and he "keeps it real", but outside of that, can the average voter relate to him? I'm in a very Republican area and unfortunately I have to work with people involved in politics, and many that have voted Republican for years are debating on voting against him even though they hate Hilary as well. I'm just surprised he has held enough appeal to people, especially without really offering any insight on how he will solve all of the problems he is basing his campaign on.
On a personal level, I just can't fathom goofy Donald Trump being the president of the United States. It was around 2 years ago when I got an issue of Golf Digest where he was unfortunately the cover story. He's been involved in golf for years developing courses and such. The article honestly made fun of him most of the time on how bad he embellished, lied, or simply rated his courses far higher than others. At one point, he specifically talks about how he feels the push to get more people into golfing is looking at it the wrong way. He said golf needs to go back to being very expensive and only for the wealthy to play. That's an example of his mindset. It's like he is trying to be controversial and do things the hard way.
With that said, I am absolutely not going to play against him. This is coming from a guy who placed more money on Obama than I have placed on any bet in my life. Normally politics are great to bet on, but this election is a circus and something I'm staying the hell away from!
