Political Betting Thread

@Scythe

Any analysis or upcoming bets?

I'm on Trump Indiana/Cruz Nebraska, but I've been betting less as the primaries wind down because a lot of my money is invested both ways on the Republican nom (I've hedged out of Not Trump as much as I could, but will still lose a good bit on that).

Well, you can always start making bets for the general. Trump to be prez has good value imo.

Had a good night. Hit Trump -120 for 1u and Bernie +500 for .2u. I still have my Trump Nebraska bets, too at +200 or better
That Nebraska bet really worked out! I did not at all expect Cruz to drop out.

Haha, ugh to Cruz dropping out. Figured he'd stay in despite having no chance.

Not that I thought it was a likely scenario or anything, but I did think there was a small chance he would drop out. I mainly made the bet because of the plus odds and all of trumps momentum and probably Indy win. I hedged off a tiny bit at +175 last night, but I'm really liking my stance there.

Do you have any thoughts/leans on the Dem WVirgina and Kentucky primaries?

Sheesh. Was thinking of violating my own rule on betting politics and dropping 1K on Trump to win the general only to discover it's down to +240. Also 5Dimes limits suck. Bookmaker seems to have removed politics entirely.

took carson for VP @ 16/1, just can't see him picking christie, his image is not the best, carson would help him out with the minoritiy votes a bit also

Two months ago Kentucky polled at 43-38 Clinton-Sanders. Any reason to think there has been a change?

That's a good line and I agree with your analysis.

Don't think either of those guys is the pick at all, but that's why it's +1600. Christie will probably be Attorney General if Trump wins, and has a place in the organization if he doesn't.

The thought of Carson in VP debates actually makes me laugh.

Definitely not Christie, but Carson makes sense to me.

he's like 9/1 to back against on the exchange so easy money if i want a small green on the whole field. but hey stranger things have happened like last night lol.
who do you reckon the frontrunners are atm? not too familiar with lots of the possibilities. I guess ryan is another one who won't get it, could potentially spoil his image if he decides to run for president in the future?

Kasich is the only guy that was in the race that would make any sense to me but it would take a lot to make that happen. Others are just random guesses really, but I'd be pretty unsurprised if it's a woman.

isn't gonna be fiorina/palin, tempted to put a couple quid on ivanka trump at 100/1 lol. kasich is possible i guess but i'd want slightly better odds than offered atm. do we know when it's likely to be announced?

@Roads55

As @Scythe is saying, it's damn near impossible to predict. Reminds me of those people who try to predict the "fight of the night" on UFC events---it's totally up to the whims of the boss.

BTW, looks like Kasich is dropping out.

For reference, Romney didn't choose a running mate until August 2012.
