Political Betting Thread

I don't think so... My limit is usually $100 too. Either $25, $50 or $100 depending on how long the lines have been out. Trump for pres has been out for ever. So the limit is $500.
Thanks, I'll check.

I really think the Democrats are digging their own grave with Hillary Clinton. Sanders polls much better than she does against Trump, particularly in the swing states that will decide the election. New Hampshire poll out today has Clinton 44 Trump 42 and Sanders 54 Trump 38. New Hampshire hasn't gone to the Republicans since the year 2000, and Trump is looking like he has a great shot at taking it.

The bet to make is NOT Hillary to win the election at +175. It's a safer bet than Trump straight up. Clinton is completely devoid of charisma and can't even lean on any inspiring policies to make up for it. All she has going for her is her name and that will not bring in any new support at this point. Trump's already closed the gap in the polls and now the email scandal is coming to a head. I'm going big here.

Which bookie?

I agree that's an excellent line.

Save your money. Trump isn't going to be president.
What odds will you offer me on that? We could have someone here arbitrate and transfer the money via bitcoin. If you give me +300/ I'll stake $3000.

That's what people have been saying this entire election. Remember the days where Trump had a ceiling of 30% with Republicans?

Im starting to buy into Scott Adam's analysis on Trump being a persuasion genius. He called Trump to win the GOP nomination as soon as Trump announced he was running and has since called for Trump to win the presidency in a landslide. We will see what happens.

Interesting to note that in Clinton's 3 political campaigns so far she has never once improved in her poll numbers. She always comes into her political contests with a big lead because of her name and then plays prevent defense the entire campaign. Once a candidate catches up to her she's done. She has no ability to inspire voters both on personality and on policy.

Is Bernie going to win california??
I would guess he will. 46-44 Clinton-Sanders in the latest poll and momentum on Sanders's side. Should be close, though.

Took Field over Hillary +250 for California, from what you guys are saying seems like there's legit value there.

Great line, but after looking more carefully it's a coinflip to me. The other recent poll shows 57-39, which is a big gap to make up.

But don't worry---you should have a chance to freeroll soon if not now.

Any action upcoming? Trump to be prez has dropped to +200 on 5Dimes.
I have broken my brain trying to make sense out this election season. Bernie has a real chance in California. I know several long time Republicans and Libertarians who are voting for Bernie. Outside the radicalized fems, i am not seeing Hillary supporters in too many places. She has strong institutional connections here, but she is terrible at picking up new voters.

Again, take with grain of salt because many want him to lose.

Only bet i see worth anything now is Bernie taking California but his odds at winning the Pres at around +1800 imo has value, too.

Clinton is leading right now by only 270 delegates. Sanders could encroach and I really dont think Clinton is out the woods yet with this email shit, which is NOT a manufactured issue like Benghazi. Its real. If Bernie does get the nom, I think he takes the general.

Bernie's the right side in California at these odds but the Dems aren't taking the nomination away from Hillary when they've worked so hard to secure her position. I wish I was wrong.

Either side (Trump/Clinton) is the right side in the general as the underdog. So much can happen in so much time between two incredibly polarizing, and widely hated, candidates.

Baby boomer women will overwhelmingly vote Clinton, and that is a huge demographic. Clinton would have to murder someone on live television for most of those people to give up on her.

On the other hand, baby boomer men will overwhelmingly vote for Trump. That's another huge voting bloc. I expect turnout among this group to be higher than in the past few cycles due to Trump enthusiasm.

Sanders won't be the nominee unless Clinton is indicted (highly unlikely).

The only thing funnier than someone thinking Trump has any shot at all too win, is someone who wants that man to be leader of your country, and to wield a great influence upon others on our planet.

That might be true.

So, about that bet...
