The bigger and stronger you are the more leeway you have have to be less technically correct.

The guy he brought to the ground was 6'8 and over 260lbs, an Islam Mackachev is not stopping a Francis takedown.

Also the fact than Renan's been taken down and held down by much smaller and worse guys.

Well, that aged poorly.

But its worth keeping in mind this is the type of things that fighters need to have when they're in training camps against very threatening opponents.

To you and me it may come off as completely delusional, but Ferreria was in a four fight streak, all 1st-round KOs, and Ngannou hadn't fought in MMA in over 30 months, lost 2 boxing matches, and was savagely KOed in the second.

Fighters NEED to have that "championship mindset" throughout training and as they walk into the cage, because if they train and walk into the cage with a fearful or defeated mindset they will be defeated.
