Yeah... even if you count Aljolame and Sean as losses... is not that he got blew out of the water. Those were really close fights.

Nah Chito said that in retrospect he came back too soon to fight Figgy after the O'Malley rematch. I don't think we'll see him again in 2024. Also he should be fighting down the rankings coming off two losses.

Maybe a rematch with song yadong for chito. If he loses again that's the final nail in his casket.

Yan has great TDD... other than Merab who grapplefucks everybody and Aljo in the 2nd fight for moments (when Yan didn't even had his corner) he has not been outgrappled.

I think he stuff the takedowns and punches Figgy.. a lot.

Possibly but I wouldn't immediately count Figgy out either. 125 gets a ton of shit but when your a champion it means something and him going up to BW and not having that difficult weight cut shows that he's among the elite based on his performances.

Assuming Henry is dropping down to 125 and Sean is really taking an extended break. If Henry and Sean are good to go for 135 then match Sean with Cory and Henry with Aldo Bautista winner.

Yan is scary good but he's had the misfortune of fighting in a stacked division against elite fighters at their absolute peaks. With Umar entering the frame, there is no way he ever holds the title again.

Also have to see how that knee holds up. It's definitely going to be a target.

fig hits very hard though, and is very fast. if yan spends the first round getting a readings on fig, he could catch him. otherwise, i probably favor yan too. both great fighters i would like to see as champs again. will be watching this fight for sure.

he’s also had just straight up misfortune, getting screwed by both judges and refs. it’s good to see that fans sided with him over flopmaster and his injury malingering ways.

don’t be so sure about umar. first, no guarantee he beats merab. also, there’s no reason to assume he’s that good from beating one ranked guy.

I doubt it's Umar, I think Umar is fighting for the title next vs Merab.

Umar said recently that he doesn't want to wait for Merab and will take a fight if Merab isn't ready, so it could be Umar. That's a good style match up for Umar, too, so it could make sense
