UFC sold for $4 billion!
Not bad for "human cock fighting " or a "bunch of gay guys rolling around in their underwear"

Founded in 1993, UFC is one of the largest and fastest growing sports brands in the world, particularly among millennials. The organization produces more than 40 live events annually and is the largest Pay-Per-View event provider in the world, broadcast in over 156 countries and territories, to nearly 1.1 billion television households worldwide, in 29 different languages. UFC continues to capitalize on digital distribution platforms via its wholly-owned subscription over-the-top service, FIGHT PASS, delivering exclusive live events, thousands of fights on-demand and original content to fans around the globe.

Not sure why you put the bit in about human cockfighting not being lucrative.

Perhaps ,

Dana tried and failed but that not the them .

I guess it would be harder considering there are already established powerful people in boxing that would prevent a single take over

Let see what the new "breed do" w boxing
Also how the UFC will be in 100 years from now

Forgot to add champ

Schaefer could do well with their financial backing.

you cant prostitute boxers as easily as they did for the ufc

I can't wait for The Ultimate Fighter (boxing edition)
An Ultimate Boxing Championship wouldn't work. The model is already too saturated to be able to get all the boxers and their promoters to be on board with taking lesser cuts than the "UBC". All they do now is pay fees for licensing yearly and per event solely.

The fertittas like making money, so no

There already was a reality show on boxing. That was like 10 years ago

With Dela Hoya as the host right? I remember watching one episode and thinking it sucked.

There was one with Ray Leonard and Sly Stallone too.

Woudl be cool.

They came from boxing anyway. They were part of the Vegas commision I think I remember a few big fights were their names were read out as some officials.
Allegedely they also used their influence to fuck the old owners of the UFC out of the game so that they could buy the UFC themselves

Didn't think about that . A lot of the top paid fighters would have to forgo thier high pay for the future of the sport but in turn get rebook swag , and the owners would profit more

I can really see champs fighting for chump change and driving a Camry
