I'm not underestimating her at all. She is totally capable of winning.

But the only evidence I've seen of her mental state. Tells me she is fucked. Hasn't done a legit mma interview in 13 months. Can't even handle a 30 - 45 minute pre-fight presser, ffs.

If you think that's a good sign. I'd say you're overestimating her.

That fight was a long time ago in WMMA years. Nunes' TDD is the most improved part of her game. That being said...all Honda has to do is smother a couple combos from Nunes and get that hip position she is so good at, and Nunes is going for a ride. Of course, if any of Nunes right hands get through, Honda will panic with Holly flashbacks and turtle up, game over.

Shevchenko is the second best in the division and probably beats Nunes over five rounds [Due to Nunes gastank]. Shevchenko would murk Ronda.

People get blinded by the fact that Ronda was beating people in ten seconds, but what they are missing is that her game was built on a deck of cards. She bull rushes forward, gets the clinch, and tosses her opponents. That is all she has. There is no plan B. In men's MMA that gets you finished every single time. Even if you're Satoshi Ishii...

It worked for a while because WMMA is seriously shallow. Thing is, even if you are the worlds greatest judoka, it becomes almost impossible to do what Ronda does, once the competition gets past UFC one level... And once that happens, Ronda really has no place in the octagon until she develops a larger skill set, and that takes years.

That's once she gassed. It was poor fight IQ. She punched herself trying to finish the fight in the first. Nunes biggest problem has always been her gas tank, but she has murked everyone shes faced up until that happens.

Back then she could go one round, now she can go two. It's still shit, but Ronda isn't making it to the third with her bull rushing style, and if she attempts to change her gameplan, she'll get picked apart from the outside and stopped.

Ronda will always have a place in the octagon....and the competition is past UFC 1 level. Its not as bad as all that,and remember we are also still talking about 135ers,115ers,even the mens division dont have the high rate of savage knockouts that other divisions have. Yes they have catching up to do,but I think Holm's skillset in particular,the footwork and angles is what gave ronda alot of trouble. You can have other girls who are multifaceted who can still get murked by Ronda. She is a specialist. So is Khabib. You can be successful if your specialty is that strong. Saying she has no place in the octagon for any reason is ridiculous. She paved the way for the women and physically has what she needs. Mentally is the big question mark now.
