Paul Walker to Star in HITMAN Reboot, AGENT 47

Kitsch is box office poison.

No he isn't. :(

Kitsch is box office poison.

But he does seem to have contacts in high places. How else does he keep getying work. Its like it has been decided that he is our next big thing, and now hollywood just has to manufacture him into that position whether people like him or not.
I'd be interested to know who he is related to and whether or not he is gay.

Nah, those movies were box office poison. It had nothing to do with him. I don't care who you put in those roles; John Carter and Battleship were god freaking awful, and everybody could tell they were gonna be awful from the trailers. Savages has made back its money. The guy has genuine star power, but I don't think he's a very good actor, and I don't think there will ever again be a role as perfect for him that will hide this fact as seamlessly as Tim Riggins. They haven't yet figured out his star persona. Maybe he'd be better as a villain. The laconic athlete role was just the right porridge, but there aren't a ton of those to go around on the silver screen.

Why does everyone think "Battleship" did poorly at the box office? The film made $302,836,260.00 world-wide so far.

Another video game movie that shouldn't be made. Let alone remade.

Honestly man, i would put my money that you are a more convincing 47 than Walker.

The fact that you're black may get in the way, but at least the movie would appeal to more, erm, "Urban" audiences.

Worked for Kingpin in Daredevil and Fury in Avengers.

Noticed they were filming this horseshit here yesterday. Thats all. I guess it got delayed a year while they recast the lead.

Rupert Friend, currently starring on TV’s Homeland, has been tapped to replace Paul Walker in Agent 47 from Fox International. 47 was the movie that Walker was to have starred in after wrapping Fast and Furious 7, but the actor was killed in a car crash Nov. 30. Commercials helmer Aleksander Bach is directing from a script by Kyle Ward, Skip Woods and Michael Finch.

Agent 47 is a bald-headed elite assassin who is the star character of a video franchise. The plot for the new movie is being kept under wraps. The project is a sequel to Hitman, the 2007 action flick that starred Timothy Olyphant.
Friend may be best known to American audiences for his work in British period movies such as The Young Victoria and Pride & Prejudice.

Zachary Quinto, who stars as Spock in Star Trek reboots (Star Trek Into Darkness), will be joining Rupert Friend in Fox International’s Hitman sequel, Agent 47. Quinto will be joining the project straight from the New York stage where he is co-starring to critical raves in The Glass Menagerie. Agent 47 is the project that previously was cast with Paul Walker in the lead. After the actor died tragically in a car crash, the project was postponed from its initial February start date and then recast. Friend (best known for Homeland) came aboard to replace Walker earlier this month.

It will be directed by Aleksander Bach from a script by Skip Woods and Michael Finch. The project will now go before the cameras in March. Chuck Gordon, Alex Young and Adrian Askarieh are producing. Daniel Alter is the exec producer. The original Hitman bowed in 2007 with Timothy Olyphant and Dougray Scott starring. That film went onto gross just shy of $100M worldwide ($99.96M)

Watching this right now, the guy playing Agent 47 looks absolutely ridiculous and like one of the most least intimidating assassins, ever.

LOL no need to necro this. If you want to be an assassin, you dont want to look menacing. You will give yourself away.

What? I'm currently watching it and able to add to the tantalizing discussion I've missed out on until now.

And this isn't real, it's a movie. Hitman looks like a goober, not some hardcore assassin.

Has it been long enough to where I can say Paul Walker had no acting ability whatsoever? He lucked into the role of a lifetime. He could've been replaced with any generic blonde guy and would've made no noticeable difference to the Fast and Furious franchise.
