Paul Walker to Star in HITMAN Reboot, AGENT 47

Fox International Productions is rebooting Hitman, the live action film adaptation of the hit Square Enix video game. They’ve set The Fast And The Furious‘s Paul Walker to star in Agent 47, an action film that was written by A Good Day To Die Hard‘s Skip Woods and Mike Finch and will be directed by Aleksander Bach, a highly regarded commercials director making his feature film debut.

This gives a new start to Hitman, which was turned into a 2007 film that starred Timothy Olyphant as the genetically engineered elite assassin with the barcode tattooed on the back of his head. Woods wrote that movie, which wasn’t a rave with the critics, but grossed $100 million worldwide. The new film, with Walker playing the lethal protagonist, will shoot in Berlin and Singapore this summer after Walker completes a global press tour for Fast And Furious 6. Walker will shave his head and make this his first big film after Fast 6, whose trailer has been generating 20,000 tweets an hour since it debuted during Sunday’s Super Bowl. Production on the film begins in June.

Fox International Productions sees this as a potential gold mine both in the U.S. but especially in the overseas marketplace, where the video game has moved over 20 million units and where Walker has done very well with Universal’s race car franchise and films like Eight Below.

As someone who hasn't played the Hitman video games, I found the first Hitman movie to be mediocre initially. Upon second viewing on cable, I enjoyed it more and overall thought it was a pretty decent entertaining action flick.

So stupid.
Is there not a bald guy out there who can act better than Paul Walker?

Honestly man, i would put my money that you are a more convincing 47 than Walker.

The fact that you're black may get in the way, but at least the movie would appeal to more, erm, "Urban" audiences.

Olyphant did ok but it wasn't that great of a "Hitman" movie if that makes sense.

Paul Walker is even more questionable as is the whole "commercial director making feature film debut"

Sounds like Uwe Boll 2.0

Somehow, this thread made me like CHL a lot more.

Didn't they just make that movie...why are they "Rebooting" it.

The fuck is wrong with them and why Paul Walker?

The Rock should play Agent 47. He is damn near in every action movie so far. Not Hating though, Schwarzenegger did the same in the 80's.

Walker would never cut his hair, he's a pretty boy.

Give Olyphant a better script and he'll fucking kill it.

I'd rather see Taylor Kitsch in the role than Paul Walker.

I liked Paul Walker in this movie. I enjoyed it a lot. Great flick.

Taylor Kitsch has very limited acting range. The Hitman role doesn't require much emoting or talking, so it might suit him.

You can say the same about Paul Walker. He's damn near robotic in every role. I think he can pull off emotionless fairly well.

Excellent choice imo. Nobody would have imagined hal from malcolm in the middle could act. I say give him a shot.

why the fuck change it from olyphant? I thought he played the part perfectly... and to walker? He doesnt fit at all. fucking statam would even be better.
