No way. His best film, by far, was Varsity Blues. He was also in Pleasantville, but I don't think that's what you mean by "his" movie. His best film was Into the Blue, it had nothing to do with him and all to do with Jessica Alba being in a bikini the entire movie.
You're right. I guess it could be applied to countless actors/actresses.
I also think Taylor Kitsch was a good mention. Is the draw of this movie really the star? It seems as perfect an opportunity as any to test the waters on an unknown and potentially launch a new cash cow career.
Honestly man, i would put my money that you are a more convincing 47 than Walker.
The fact that you're black may get in the way, but at least the movie would appeal to more, erm, "Urban" audiences.
Why the Paul Walker hate? Loved him in that trhiller with the Russian kid that looks like a young Roman Zentsov.
Nah, those movies were box office poison. It had nothing to do with him. I don't care who you put in those roles; John Carter and Battleship were god freaking awful, and everybody could tell they were gonna be awful from the trailers. Savages has made back its money. The guy has genuine star power, but I don't think he's a very good actor, and I don't think there will ever again be a role as perfect for him that will hide this fact as seamlessly as Tim Riggins. They haven't yet figured out his star persona. Maybe he'd be better as a villain. The laconic athlete role was just the right porridge, but there aren't a ton of those to go around on the silver screen.Kitsch is box office poison.
