That bit made me laugh but you, Bigfoot Enabler-not-quite-Believer™, are already speaking past the point of whether it's intelligent -- you're in the sphere of an intelligence that evades detection despite "evidence" directly contrary to such speculation.

Theres a difference between intelligent evasion and reflex evasion though. If the video is real then the animal is clearly aware of someone watching it and continues to strut along into the bush.

And I would actually argue that one good video of an animal doesn't contradict evidence of its ability to evade humans. I think it actually fits with that idea quite well.

Yes, WHAT is that difference?

It seems to me the only difference is the animal's own awareness, in which case once aware it changes course. Not so in the video.

What is this difference that creates the discrepant responses? You'd think it would VAMOOSE.

The difference is brain size i believe. Don't know why it would change course because it's still moving away.

I wouldn't expect it to run away like a bitch. When you encroach on an ape it doesn't run away it fucks you up. And they did say that the animal turned 3 times with a threatening glare.

They also lost it in the thick underbrush after following way behind. So maybe the animal knew it would lose them eventually.

Are you trying to trip me up? I think they're honest questions to be fair. There are things I also wonder about such as why the animal allowed itself to be so visible in the first place. Or why it didn't seem I admit a little more rushed to get away.

Not trying to force in the answers to everything, but if the footage is real then well, there would be an answer to everything.
 
here is another segment from bobgymlan going over some of the better sightings and evidence. one of the topics covers jeff meldrum phd, a global authority in anatomical sciences and the development of human foot morphology and the mechanisms of bipedal walking.

it is this expertise he draws upon to analyze supposed bigfoot castings. it is worth noting that he attained tenure at idaho state university during the period while he was studying bigfoot. not an easy accomplishent as the scientific mindset that follows evidence wherever it leads is often frustrated by stigmatization, bias, and closed mindedness..

This gets into a rabbithole I won't bore you with but find utterly fascinating about perspective and belief systems -- how they manifest in our decisions, the cost, and what that means to identity and interaction overall. The Rorschach test.

No I get it. But to me it's more that I haven't gotten the smoking gun to disprove or prove the video yet that I need. I have perceived the video different ways at different times. It is a very polarizing piece of footage and it does fit in well with the romanticism shit. I mean its still being debated over in 2021 isn't it?

Personally if the bigfoot turned and gave the camera the finger that would make me a 100% believer.

Let's not start talking absurdities now.

I still like my fiction idea of Bigfoot working as a spy for the US government due to somehow confining himself to Man's blindspot. It's to the point that I'd like to insert random Bigfoots who don't get any exposition into the background of JAMES BOND flicks.
