He landed the biggest shots and almost knocked him out in the 2nd round where Poatan was saved by the bell. The fight stats and the fact that even the most diehard fans agree, Poatan did nothing, only speaks to your mindset. Not the fight.

Thing is Ankalaev didn’t really commit to taking him down as much as he used it to control him against the cage. Not taking anything away from Poatan.

He controlled him for 3-4 minutes tops. Meaning Poatan had 21 minutes to deliver and couldn’t because Ank kept the pressure there….
