Outside of Khabib, who are the most DOMINANT fighters in UFC history?????

Its really just very funny: Al, Barboza, Justin, Dustin, Conor... Bunch of gatekeepers ... and Khabib is most dominant...<Dany07> Only strikers with mixed records prior or after... Only wrestler he fought actually give him a draw. RDA was only one his elite win.
He didnt fight even his division best fighter at the time - Tony.

khabib retired early, jones had close fights later into his career fighting way better opponents

idek why khabib is brought up in these convos lol, hes not a goat islam has a better resume already
It's a conversation about dominance not best resume. Islam has losses and close fights. I swear half of this forum either can't read or are deliberately obtuse.

Listen I'm a Jones super fan, he's had a bunch of close fights - Khabib has had one.
Yeah no doubt, just mentioning that for the previous loses part, and yeah, Jones has had many tough fights, he would be 2nd to Khabib because he didnt really lost that fight or more fights, GSP or Silva had less close fights in their careers but they also had more loses than Jones, even if we count their DQ´s (and dont consider post title Silva´s run).

Not for the lack of trying, fight just never happened, and father time caught up with Ferguson´s style.

Several of the fighters we know as GOATS have questionable wins.
Jones wins over Santos, Reyes and Gus (1) were closely contested, as was GSP win over Hendricks.
Islam got KO'ed early in his UFC career and was in a super close fight with Volk.

So who has the best record of domination? Not necessarily the best or most wins, but the fighter who was (or is) seemingly the most unstoppable

Buddy khabibs literally lost to glieson and got a win from it.. khabib didn't get alot of finishes .. and he only grappled..

A huge number of ww fighters have gone 14 and 16 and 0 khabib only had 14 UFC fights

The people being deliberately obtuse are the ones like yourself ignoring that Jon has more title wins than Khabib even had UFC fights, as well as had 10 more UFC fights period. Absolutely beyond absurd to knock Jon's 14th to 23rd fights against him when Khabib never even had them.

For all we know Khabib gets KTFO in every single one of those extra 10 fights.

Their records after their Khabib fight:

RDA is 12-10
Johson is 5-8
Gaethje 3-2
Poirier 5-3
Conor 1-2
Barboza 5-7

arent you just fighting top competition for the most part once you get to a title fight? seems like most guys would have close to even records once getting to the top and then slowly declining

I will do this exercise for top guys Jon Jones beats to show you my point.

Their records after Jon Jones fight:
DC 7-2
Gustafson is 3-6
Anthony smith is 5-6
Thiago Santos is 1-6
Dominic Reyes 1-3
OSP 8-10
Glover 11-6
Chael 3-4
Belfort 5-5
Rashad 3-6
Machida 9-10
Rampage 6-5
Shogun 8-9

Combined record after fighting Khabib : 31-32

Combined record after fighting Jon Jones: 70-78

I think you will find the same if you look at people GSP has beat Matt Hughes, BJ Penn (LOL) , Hendricks etc.

I think you will find the same of guys Anderson beat.

Up until the Weidman fight, honestly it's very hard to imagine Anderson Silva losing to anyone.

The only time in his UFC run where he looked to be in trouble was the first Chael fight, but he absolutely dismantled GOAT Sonnen in the rematch

He dismantled all his challengers. It was especially impressive to see him wreck Henderson who was supposed to be a stylistic nightmare, and front kick TRTor Belfort into Bolivian
During his unbeaten streak I'm not sure anyone ever looked as good as Anderson did, agreed. At least in the UFC.

Amazing. You have discovered that fighters who get a title shot and lose have worse records after they get their title shots than before. However could that be true?
