lol that's so true. Yeah Brando, De Niro are the two most influential actors I believe in the history of movies. That's actually a very good point. Would of thought De Niro would be in the top 5 with Taxi Driver. Which was surprising indeed.

Even though I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, I've seen Heath Ledger's performance on youtube and he's the only one who could pull off the role of The Joker, not just that but He's so convincing that you would sense the fear, sense the danger. that's rare in actors btw. when their acting performance can legit terrify someone and then they turn out normal.

Of the actors on the list already here in the finale, I feel like Hopkins was better in The Father, DDL was better in pretty much any other role with a special nod to There Will Be Blood, In the Name of the Father and My Left Foot and that Nicholson was better in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

I don't know if I could list the 5 best male performances, but it could look something like:

Joaquin Pheonix: The Master
Phillip Seymore Hoffman: Capote
Leonardo Dicaprio: Shutter Island
DDL: There Will Be Blood
Anthony Hopkins: The Father

Heck even these could be up there:

Hugh Jackman: The Fountain
Jake Gyllenhall: Nightcrawler
Timothee Chalamat: Call Me By Your Name
Javier Bardeem: No Country For Old Men
Mickey Rourke: The Wrestler

Hopkins in The Father was phenomenal to say the least. He's still hitting homeruns at that age is just amazing.
