Okay Izzy vs DDP is next

I think stylistically DDP is right up Adesanya's alley.
I don't think he'll deal well with DDP's TDs or strength. Yes, Izzy is a pretty good "anti wrestler" but so was Sean, who's also a better overall grappler. Some of the Izzy-Poatan grappling was embarassing.

No I'm tired of instant rematches for titles after coming off a loss. He should rematch Sean and let Jared fight DDP. Then winner of Izzy and Strick gets winner of Jared and DDP.

Izzy vs Sean for next challenger.

But khamzat next for the title shot!!!

Izzy isn’t even a good anti wrestler, he got taken down like 4 times by marvellous marvin

Izzy should get a win. He hasn't been the same since Strickland broke him
And while he avenged the Poatan loss, Izzy is 1-2 in his last 3 and 4-3 in his last 7. Any aura of being invincible is long gone.

Doesnt deserve it, but I think Izzy counters the shit out of DDP. I also thought Izzy would destroy Strickland so who tf knows in this weird division

I foresee a rematch in the future
For Strickland? Nah, Dana is going to expedite Khamzat off Strickland's name by giving him a 3 rounder in either Saudi or Abu Dhabi. UFC aren't going to take the flight risk with Strickland. Guarantee that they book this fight. Adesanya/DDP is too valuable to lose to Strickland

Standing Izzy eats DDP alive imo probably looks a lot like the costa fight.

DDP can maul Izzy on the mats though.

Izzy should need to get a win before he gets another title shot though. he's 1-2 in his last three

Izzy/Poatan was offensive grappling - completely different than stopping TD's.

And Costa and Yoel are, just as, if not stronger than DDP.

Have to take into consideration Adesanya's height and speed advantage too. He's 3 inches taller.

DDP also throws looping punches, whereas Adesanya counters at length. Thus, I feel like DDP will be counterstruck by Adesanya because he tends to overreach a bit.

It all depends on Adesanya's state of mind and confidence level IMO. If he's at his best, he will beat DDP IMO.

Maybe so, but Yoel and Izzy basically had a staring contest as Yoel abandoned offensive wrestling a long time ago. And Costa had a terrible IQ against Izzy. DDP may be awkward and has some flaws, but has shown he'll stick to a plan even if he has to take a lot of punishment. And once he establishes that he can get TDs (or just a strong TD threat), that could affect Izzy's style and confidence.

I would argue DDP's takedowns are very similar to Robert Whitakers. Striking and then exploding for TD or duck under a strike and going for double.

Izzy has good defense against those kind of takedown artists because of his length. He's much more susceptible to a clinch style takedown artist like Khabib.

Adesanya is coming off a loss, and the guy that whooped his ass is not the title holder. It makes Zero sense to give him a title shot. Have him fight chimaev in a FIVE ROUNDER.
