I get the hate for Unity, but to me it's one the best looking games of the generation.

A lot of the hype behind these consoles is related to how they will run old games...

Kinda like hiw everytime I get a new GPU. I install a bunch of my old games to see how they do.. but then get bored after a week or two.

Yes, I'm not even hyped for any of the options now. Maybe in three or four years.

But I always thought Unity was beautiful, maybe if Ubisoft released it two years later, it would be better.

Well, diminishing returns may be slowing down the "wow" factor from advancing graphics, but this single image shows how long console gamers have been living in the past with what was middling hardware the moment it released in late 2013-- even running 2020 software:

Just awesome.

I don't even like Basketball and the only Bball game I've ever bought was NBA Jam on the Snes and Ps1. That being said, I might pick this one up! It looks spectacular.

"And if it wasn’t obvious the heat thing was a gentle joke then I’ll try better next time."

Was it ever promised to run at a locked 60? The Assassin Creed games never have. I rather open world games like this target a locked 30fps so they can push the eye candy.

The OG disk version of Assassin's Creed Unity had an uncapped framerate for some odd reason. Eventually they patched it and capped it at 30fps but you can still bring out the OG disk version to test out and this is the first time it's been able to manage 60fps on consoles.

Unity on a 980 gtx ran great, and it was actually a good assassin's creed game.
