But Sony isn’t requiring you to use proprietary expansions. You’re stuck using whatever Microsoft tells you to use.

They have guidelines for what speeds and form factor will be useable but you’ll still have the options.

But I’m sure Mick will tell me why proprietary expansion is actually better for the consumer and is somehow another W for the Xbox lol.

But this will only matter if they continue to drop the retail price of the drives as there is a corresponding drop in price of Gen4 SSDs on the open market. After all, it isn't hard installing these SSDs, either. It's as easy as installing RAM in a laptop; particularly those laptops where the bay isn't block by batteries or anything that makes accessing them more convoluted. It's like installing an SSD card into an old smartphone where the back would come off. You unscrew & remove the bay door door, unscrew another screw inside the bay, insert the m.2 drive like an SD card, push it down, re-screw that internal screw so that it's head will hold it down the SSD in place like you were doing with your finger, and then screw the door back on.

It's not hard.

No you definitely lean on the MS side. We all post in these forums often and I've always thought of you as a Xbox fanboy. A quick posting history search on you validated my assumptions. You play on XBox but not PS4 and you've always generally favored and supported XBox One.

VLC app just came out, Torrent download and play apps coming out soon. The service and online is great. I got no need for a high end PC thanks to all of this.

Xbox One is going to come out on top in the end. Sony has been lazy.

I've already stated that Demon Souls was the "only" legit looking next-gen game. I've said numerous times that I'll get a PS5 when Bloodborne 60fps is a thing and I've been hoping that Sony will take the Microsoft route and make a bigger deal about patching their great exclusives for 60fps too, why? Because eventually I want to play them..

You guys are all acting like a bunch of pansies because there's competition and your fan boy selves seem to be intimidated, well that's not my problem if you can't afford another console.. I've already stated that Demon Souls was the "only" legit looking next-gen game.

Call me dumb but I think TLOU II looks next gen and its at the end of the current gen. You could say the same for TLOU at the end of the PS3 cycle.

Demon Souls is the clear stand out but I think RE8 and NBA 2K [I dont even play 2k] look to next gen too and theyre both multiplats.

It looks great, that's another game I'd hope they patch up to 60fps. I thought Demon Souls was on a whole new level though.

Turn things around in a decade at the pace they were going?! lol. PS4 sales are more than doubled what XBox One and X sales are. Even back in the 2016 when you posted your silly predication the gap was more than double already at that point. Turn things around with what? They released NO exclusives that were console sellers. The only thing that was even remotely worth considering for me back then was Tomb Raider sequel and that turned out to be only a timed exclusive (and got on the PC).
