I'm not condemning a whole group. And to me "be on your best behavior" is not a right wing talking point but rather personal experience. From spending 6 months in a refugee/immigrant camp in Austria while undergoing the immigration process, to many years in Canada a few things were drilled into me. We must be on our best behavior. We must learn the language. We must prove ourselves to be worthy of the hospitality and generosity given us by our hosts. These things are basic. There were no stories of immigrants burning down camps for the lack of Nutella. No breaking into semi trucks to try and stow away. No mass rapes on New year's Eves. No sexual emergencies. There are documented stories of migrants saying we don't have to work, we're Merkel's guests. And to me that's craziness. Keep in mind I'm not even mentioning first hand accounts told to me as those can't be verified while the above have been discussed here along with media verification.

And no, it's not the majority acting like assholes. But if the stats come close to approaching the levels of citizens in the host country to me that shows ingratitude and I find that outrageous. The issue is one of accessibility and uncontrolled migration lacking proper vetting. How's this? I'm on record here saying I've never met a Nigerian I don't like. Meanwhile, in Sweden they have a problem with a Nigerian gang called Black Axe. The European situation isn't like the one in North America.

Anyways, I've been through this over, and over, and over again and this isn't the place for it. Just wanted to flesh out my position to you. Cheers!

The bold is the problem, something even approaching the mean is not outrageous, it’s average. And drawing conclusions on the treatment of an entire group based it or labeling something as uncontrolled because of it smacks of collective punishment.

There's no reason to make such a silly (and demanding) argument considering that the level of crime committed by immigrants, in this particular case, isn't even close to being equal to that of native citizens. We are not even in the same galaxy, or universe, or dimension. There's such an outrageous statistical disproportion that even the most nutty among the left-wing have become extremely concerned about it. So to even talk about the debated immigrants being "statistically equal" to that of natives, is a stretch of utopian proportions, let alone anything worth somehow getting outraged about. Believe me, nobody outside Stormfront would be outraged, if that were the case.

That's why it is especially frustrating when one has to deal with A. the incapability of "right-wing" to present the facts as they exist, and B. the incapability of the "left" to be honest about the facts.

We are basically stuck in a situation where the right, for once in their life-times, are actually on the side of truth (a rarity, I know), but they've become so accustomed to being on the side of bullshit, that they simply don't know what to do with it. So they end up losing the argument anyway because simply do not know how to argue their position, despite holding the winning hand. And that is why we are going to have to deal with a continuous flow of criminality inside our borders, unchecked, unmitigated, because people are too pea-brained and incapable of holding a conversation, to look at the statistics and figure it out.

The left are hand-cuffed by their dogma, and the right are hand-cuffed by their own idiocy. Nothing gets done, people get robbed, people get raped, immigrant populations have their reputations tarnished, by the scumbag individuals who could have easily been checked at the border and sent back to where they belong.

If you go back and follow the original conversation you will see that this is incorrect. Bald said immigrants should be held to a higher standard in a post that Trots quoted. I specifically called out that argument as bad / self serving logic. It was not a response to something I said, it was the pretext for the entire conversation.

The reality around immigration is going to be fluid around the specific facts of the case. Immigrants, even illegal ones, are not committing crime at a higher rate than the natives in all of these cases (or at the very least there is conflicting data ie for Mexican immigrants). If u go back and look at the exchange, Trot made a challenge to the data in one of these cases, and Bald responded with the best behavior argument. I very simply said that this particular argument is BS.

Again I am not opposed to kicking out felon immigrants out and looking at identifying high risk groups within groups (I think family units are a much safer bet than single young males en mass from jihadis hotspots for example). But you are correct the right can’t get out of its own way on this. But they may be because they, like the far left, have severe ideological blind spots as well. Pure idiocy is a tempting but not very satisfactory explanation.

A data driven analysis tempered by a desire for compassion and the need for domestic security is what we should all be striving for. So my point is an easy one, let’s argue the data and the implications of said data, and not reverse engineer an argument that sets up an impossible standard.

We did have a very active VP campaign wise already with @Dr J

To be interim you have to try to VP with someone you think will win and be banned before their term ends.

You want your president banned so you can promoted from VP to interim president. Then you’d appoint the interim VP to do all your stuff.
