I voted for Kamala. I don't like either. I just want to point out here that something is happening in the markets.

PredictIt narrowed from 58-48 best price now to an even 53-53. And Polymarket Odds are down from 66-33 to 57-42. And this is just like, over 48 hours or so.

I don't know how to feel about it. I think you could chalk it up at least in part to people buying value, because a price of 33 is basically +300 and that's ludicrously good value for what's essentially a coinflip, but even then it shouldn't close this much. Polling data remains a tossup. I have felt for a while that the markets aren't super tethered to reality, I don't know, I guess we'll see.

Scotus drops decision

it aint even election day and scotus just gave trump an L lol. but like they are saying, scrotus doesn't want to come out of the gate looking like a corrupt pos. they gotta make themselves look credible without showing their hand this early in the game.

if any liberal out there is surprised kamala loses, they should really think a bit harder next time they nominate a candidate (talking about biden 2020 and hillary 2016)

If anyone is surprised either candidate loses then they are retarded in the first place lmao

Sorry, but you're wrong. Trump is the ultimate rating magnet. That's why they always talk about him. CNN would be further down the hole without him. They have a clown who says outrageous things 2-3 times a week. They couldn't ask for more. Trump makes Bush Jr look like a genius.

News channels, late night shows and many Youtubers will take a hit when he's gone.

Yeah maybe. But it's still a bit silly to pretend it's a shocker that partisan media is partisan. I mean, duh!

My prediction is that Harris wins, but it should be close. But I'd be surprised if it's a decisive victory.

The U.S. intelligence agencies have been stealing and manipulating elections around the globe for a very long time. This will be no different. I predict an election that far too many won't be able to trust for good reason with the Democrats seizing power. This is the Left / UniParty's moment to finalize their control over North America... and Globalism to take over the world after some horrendous losses of life in predetermined wars.

They existed, but people weren't constantly posting about them all over social media as if they were a predictor of results before this election cycle, or as if anyone should care about what some degenerate gamblers think.

They've been talked about plenty since the internet has existed. And evidently tracked going back a helluva lot longer given that USA Today reported that only 3 times since 1900 have the betting markets been wrong when there's a significant favorite. That's an article in USA Today, not a social media post by some rando. So apparently those degenerates have actually been a pretty accurate way to predict the winner for over a century.

I think some blue states got less blue and some red states got redder. I am completely unsure about purple ones. Early voting has republicans up in battleground states barely (total). So if in person voting follows old trends republicans carry most swing states

There was like a 30% increase in the amount that was bet in 2023 alone so sure it's been around for a minute but the gambling scene doesn't look anything like it did even ten years ago.
Almost any barrier or effort to putting in a bet has been erased and it's being aimed at younger folks all the time.

The whole practice now seems a bit tainted with type who tried to convince me NFTS or the info they got off wallstreetbets reddit were sound investments, the types who think if they throw money into a possible outcome they can collectively help manifest it.

Pretty suspect of it being an accurate predictor.

That's actually fair in that changing times might mean the accuracy isn't what it used to be. I bet on MMA and do fairly well so I understand betting markets and gambling in general more than most. And I won't touch betting on this election. I feel it's close and that MAYBE Harris has value at + odds but it's just a pass for me. I was pretty sure that Hillary would win in '16 and almost made a decent sized bet on her and would've gotten burned, so maybe that's my memory telling me to just stick to betting on what I've historically profited from.

Imagine being a man, celebrating a world where women pick your leader for you lmao

"imagine being a man and associating with women. Gay!"

Little early to call this one but the fact there's dudes spazzing out and yelling :eek::eek: at other posters to cope this early on seems like an indicator of conservatives lacking confidence.

There's being associated with and being ruled by. Not surprised which side you fall on.

If you read between the lines, Trump seems to be freaking out about Pennsylvania in recent days, so I think his team expects bad news there.
Where are these lines I should be reading between?

The polls have Trump ahead in Pennsylvania by an average of 0.1pts-0.8pts depending on which mathematical meta-pollster's average you choose to cite. RCP has him ahead +0.4pts on average, and using them, in 2020 the polling perfectly predicted the outcome (+1.2pts for Biden), and in 2016, Trump outperformed the polling by a whopping +2.8pts (winning by +2.1 instead of losing by -0.7).
