Money coming in on Dwyer... I can see why, just can't bet on fights with these guys who I know absolutely nothing about anymore (god damn ROC never has videos). So many bad bets have resulted.

That said, no one has been talking about Oliveiri vs. Martin, but I like Oliveiri as a dog. He looked very good on the ground in the videos I watched, particularly sub defense. He is facing an orthodox leg-kick-heavy fighter, exactly what he is used to. Seems to have way more power.

Martins only impressive sub was vs Camoes, but I actually trained in Camoes' gym at that time and he had no one decent to face, unlike Oliveiri at Nova.

Why does so many people think that Hendricks has cardio issues? I have yet to see it. Also, higher body fat doesn't necessarily mean you have worse cardio.

Considering small stabs at;

- Rothwell via r3 KO @ 26.00
- Barnett via r3 sub @ 26.00
- Barnett via r3 KO @ 36.00

Both are generally quite durable, though obviously the issue is that when both finish fights it's usually in the first round. I think if it gets to the 3rd round and either fighter need a finish, these are the more likely methods. Rothwell needed a finish going into the 3rd of that Vera fight and came out aggressively and got it. They were 5-6 years ago now and other than the Vera fight he's not been in the 3rd round before, but in the Hunt and Yvel fights he noticeably slowed in the 3rd whereas Barnett went 5 rounds in his last fight and though tired in the 5th, otherwise showed off solid cardio. I think if he needs a finish he'll be looking to take Rothwell down from the clinch against the cage, get on top of him and finish him there, probably via a submission (still got visions of Hunt almost armbarring Rothwell) or hitting him with enough GnP from on top to force the ref to stop it.

All 3 are obviously long shots but I think the odds are decent enough for a small stab at them.

hmm its a 5 round fight now?

Damn, that sucks man.

Off-topic, but I kind of miss Matthew Riddle now that I think about it

Even more off-topic (and I am sure some won't care) but Riddle started training to wrestle (WWE style). He had a tryout with the WWE and did pretty well although he didn't get signed to a contract, straight up. However, WWE recently affiliated themselves with one of the bigger, more well known independent promotions called Evolve and got him booked as a regular wrestler with their promotion to get him further training and also watch his development.

The dude has been killing it and improving at a very rapid pace. If he keeps it up he could be a main roster guy for the WWE in the next year or so considering he only started training in October of '14. If you get a chance, check out the match he had at an Evolve event last weekend with Tracy Williams.

In fights where he has employed a wrestling heavy game plan early he's noticeably slowed down even as early as the 3rd round. I don't think his cardio is awful but combining his weight cutting issues with the fact he may well have only been training for a 3 round fight and it's at least a very real possibility cardio is an issue for him in this spot.

Plus it takes more energy to pursue a takedown and hold top position than it does to keep distance and throw strikes. In other words: fresh Hendricks vs fresh Wonderboy I think Johnny can get TD's and keep top control. Tired Hendricks vs tired Wonderboy I think Wonderboy can potshot Johnny from the outside and win rounds.

Why would it be? It's not a title fight or a main event. And even if Bader/Johnson got cancelled today, they would still leave Barnett/Rothwell as a three round fight at this late date I would think.

Barb and every prop on 5d that favor him (including Not Sages) are slowly getting bet
