Using the cinematic view as an auto pilot made the game so much better for me. You can browse most menus (start menu and the map), only the matchmaking menu and satchel will exit cinematic view.

Set waypoint ~ line up horse ~ hold run ~ then hold change view (wait for it to change to cinematic view) ~ go to start menu.

If your lined up correctly it should auto pilot all the way up to where your waypoint ends. I've had some funny fails doing this but the trade off for travel time is well worth it.

Tried this last night and the horse ran into clutter and stopped.

Horses.

Currently im driving a black arabian and ive been looking at a Turkoman or whatever other hybrid horse there is that are better.

Vids all over YouTube say to go to Saint Denis and keeping logging on to take some horses at an outside stable.

However..

There was an alleged update and now the good horses dont spawn (just walkers, saddlers, and morgans). Not sure of this applies to Single Player, cuz thats ALL i play, but they are not respawning.

So how else do i get them?

That one dont work anymore. Apparently theres a new one involving lassoong npc's off their horses. Dont know the specifics. I role Fox Trotter online and imo after having every type of horse it's the best combo of speed ,endurance, and temperament.

Yeah something anout lassoing someone, going in the opposite direction, coming back. Bah. Id rather just kill the guy and break the horse..if i can.

Have it lined up correctly. (Really it's a running start your looking for.)

Seriously I can walk off and make something to eat and when I return I am at my destination. If I take too long I get eaten by a wolf pack or some douche has me hogtied.

Silver Turkomen - Death (pale Horse)
Amber Foxtrotter - War (red horse)
Black Arabian - Famine (black horse)

Only one left is the White horse of conquest, do I get another Arabian or is there another top tier white horse of a breed I don't have that would fit?

There's a white nokota and a white shire. Not on the same level of the others but awesome in their own ways.

Basically find an NPC riding alone away from witnesses, lasso them off their horse, ride a little bit ahead, come back as they call in a back up horse and take it from them however you want. They can spawn almost any horse. They will actually spawn another horse of the same kind that they first call in if you do it to them again, but they won't spawn any other kinds after that first one. If you don't like the horse, just find another NPC to try it on.

Sorry but as it stands, GTA V is a way better game than this. I am still only halfway through the game and now that Metro Exodus is out, I think I will just wait 6-8 months until the PC version releases before I pick it back up. I haven't played it in over a month and I just don't care anymore. It's way too slow, everything. The movement, the story, the back and forth traveling. And the environment isn't nearly as packed with unique visuals so exploration gets tiresome rather quickly. The beginning segment in the mountains was superb though.

Great game. Really enjoyed the playthrough on single player. Finished the story and almost all the side missions. I started multiplayer a while back and got bored really quick. I understand it's still in beta but it just feels so bland to me. I think I like RDR 1 online better than this one.

Finally wrapped this up. Great game, don't think it quite lived up to the first game though. Didn't feel a huge connection to Arthur and the epilogue sealed that. No interest in the MP at all.

Now I can get this 100gb monster off my hard drive.

Has ANYONE caught the trout in the upper right corner of the map? Ive watched so many youtube vids and not one of then acknowledges that the place is infested with muskies.

River lure, different times, dead eye, different fishing spots....this sucks.

Is online any good? I've played through like 20 percent of teh single player game until it just started feeling like cowboy GTA.

ONline, when i played a few months ago felt really watered-down, im not sure I even encountered another player.

Is it worth firing back up again?

Just restarted it. Got to chapter 2 and immediately when to get the white arabian, buts not there.

Is there 1 or 2 other things i gotta do first before she spawns? No youtube vids are specific.
