We really have to stop trying to force live service stuff. Money potential or no

Eh I just want them to make good ones. Helldivers 2 and GT7 are live service games. You could throw Marvel Tokon into that category as all modern day fighters are live service

Honestly Sony should keep pursuing it. I've seen their financials they are making more money than ever. They have the money to invest so they should keep going before it's to late and they don't have the money anymore. They just need one to hit and they were very close to getting what they want with HD2.

Now that we're on the topic of live service games does anyone else think this has huge potential? I haven't played an MMORPG in forever but I might try this when it releases.

I will try it, but I never have much faith in Korean MMOs. They said they are keeping the micro transactions to cosmetic stuff, but Korean games tend to be grindy to an annoying degree

Marathon is now running the first of many closed playtests after changes have been and will continue to be made. If you receive an email, reply fast because Bungie has a countdown before each invite expires and moves on to another tester.

Updates on roadmap and/or release of game will be announced after summer.

Two things devs have said are prio is world building and upon playerbase request prox chat.

Yeah, Sony is performing strong right now. Thought of you when I'd read not long after that Sony is now eyeing acquisition of Warner Bros. Batman property effectively a fountain for immersive, cinematic storytelling with dark, gritty combat. Wonder if or how that would impact NetherRealm who are owned by WB. PS already has exclusive MK tournaments so I have to think a good relationship between NR and SIE already exists.

Yes WB would be great for them. Will see if they can actually get the deal done. I could see them leaving Marvel behind if so and having Insomniac start working on in-house IPs at that point. I know Sony would love to have 20 million dollar selling games that don't require a massive payout to Disney.

Werewolves, Midyear Sale event is live.

Wukong is 20% off with expansion for mere 8€, Age of Empires II sees 20% off with Space Marine 40% off and RE4 50% + RE Village 70% off.

Bonus mention of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at 70% off. Journey comes strongly recommended by dawg @mixmastermo.

I got into the closed beta, so I will let you know some preliminary thoughts. Been watching people play and it looks fun, and it being pve focused gives me a bit more hope for it

Just to keep the crew posted, we added a future Arcade Lounge Sherbro on the 17th. 8lbs 2oz. The little guys will have quite the backlog to get through when they get older.
Congrats. It's been a trip watching my son play games more and more. All his habits completely different from what all the "experts" are out there predicting about gaming's future. He's obsessed with GT7 right now at 7 years old.

Thanks brother. I'm really looking forward to gaming with my little ones. Good to hear he's not following in what those experts are saying. I've always though it was BS personally. I'm trying to get my oldest son to play hot wheels but he's not there yet. Maybe soon though.

Smart. Gaming has so many benefits from memory and problem-solving to fine motor skills. Big ups on the werewolf pup! **HOOOWWWLLL

My daughter is 2 so we’re not there yet, lol. She’d sooner boomerang my Edge out the window than grip it. Definitely get them their own controllers and create the boundary this, that is Dad’s stuff. Or just lock everything up for easy mode.

Yea I always thought it was BS to but when I saw my son go from always playing on the Ipad to "fuck that ipad get off the PS5, dad". I knew it was BS. Kids are just playing whatever device their parents are willing to buy for them. My son wanted a switch and I was like nope we got a PS5 use it.

Can't stress enough about getting the kid his own controller. I let my son use mine and he dropped it on the floor like 5-6 times within a month. It was on accident but still. The down button on the dpad doesn't even work on his controller now.

Nice! Although thinking it over you're right about the grind with Korean MMOs. I think I'll adjust my expectations a bit. I'm going to wait for the full release and give it a try. The thing is there's so many great games next year too I may just not have time for an online game.

My daughter is the same age and she's really good about not messing with my stuff now. Took a few times of getting mad at her to understand that we have our own things. Now she'll point to stuff and say "daddy's" and leave it alone. She does the same with the snacks I like that she can't eat.

There is one thing that she goes after no matter how many times I tell her not to and that's my Nendoroid Astro Bot figure. She loves how it has so many small parts and they can all be ripped off. It's dangerous so I put it on a high shelf now. I also bought her an Astro shirt and she wears it to bed sometimes. She won't wear it outside though. It's almost as if she's embarrassed as it may make her look more like a boy. It's crazy how young she is and already knows this stuff. When she goes out she'll make me put her in a dress. Really interesting child lol

Thanks Val, much appreciated. Wolfpack grows by 1. We’re not one of those “no screen time” type of families. I let my oldest son use the pad but it’s a crappy Amazon fire one. I’m planning on upgrading to an iPad here soon so he has some better games to play. He’s still very much into hot wheels and trucks which is great though.

My 2 year old daughter is so into dolls she wouldn’t be interested in it. Although she was messing around with my switch (under supervision ha).

Is it true it looks nothing like the trailers? I heard it's a huge downgrade and people are thinking it needs to be delayed. Any truth to that?

Game runs fine for me, but I am not trying to run it at max settings or anything. I have not seen anything that shows gameplay the same as they run. The game does not come out, supposedly, until the end of the year. I think they have plenty of time to fix it.
