This year-end really is stacked.

Xbox and Nintendo now both have handheld consoles by the end of the year. Sony probably scrambling to get something together. Personally I like playing on my TV a lot better but since I leave the country one month out of the year every year would be awesome to own something that plays games natively that I can travel with

You got it. I remember you talking about a bit about it. This one really looks like they stepped it up.

I didn’t play much of the first MS this one looks a lot better.

Yea but I think it’s just the pc version of Xbox right? Like it’s not going to play all your native Xbox games since not all of them are play anywhere. I think PlayStation is trying to let you play your whole library more similar to the Steamdeck.

The whole thing is confusing. They spent like 1 minute talking about like it’s no big deal. Doesn’t appear the they even made the hardware themselves. I think with the Sony one it will at least be made in house and streamlined to play our libraries like you said

There's a rumored upcoming update to the PS5 SDK that will enable a low power mode that will be aimed towards the handheld coming for Sony's next gen plans

Had to pick up a Dual Sense for $55. I will have 4 of them. 2 with drift and 1 that's getting close to end of life. I'm considering sending in my two with drift, but it seems like it would cost more to do that than to just buy a new one. Kinda sucks.

I thought about buying one just to have as a spare. Mine from the pro is working fine now but my sons Dpad has a broken down button. I've told him to just deal with it because I'm not buying him a new controller he can just break again.

I’m not at that stage yet but I can certainly foresee it coming in the future. Kids break everything.

Hermen confirms FY25 launch for Marathon.

Short delay expected beyond original window to work on things; this means March 2026 latest for landing. Alpha was extended because of high playercount but obvious issues have risen to top of discourse in public forum.

Related, no shortage of chatter on if M fails to meet sales threshold, Sony contractually can assume operational control of the 2022 Sony subsidiary.

I haven't researched much on Firebreak. What is everyone's pre-release thoughts on it?

On another note, I hope Arc Raiders leans more into the PvE side of the house. The PvP was a break from their original idea. It's a game I've been excited to try for a while. The first trailer blew me away.

Hideaki, Pres and CEO of SIE, today reveals console hardware advancement remains #1 and not cloud streaming.

Continuing, he says streaming is progressing well from a technical standpoint but isn’t there yet to be a priority from Sony’s POV for their player engagement and network stability. PS6 excitingly also getting more focus than ever behind the scenes, he adds.

I had no idea about this game. Looks awesome and comes out very soon. Plan on playing a lot of indies this summer.

Looks good. Thanks for sharing. I might try these two indie games soon. They aren't new though.

Korean website has Crimson Desert launching on November 2 this year. @SwamiLeoni

Haven’t played Infernax but Cyber Shadow was a lot of fun. Pretty difficult though. The messenger is another good ninja game
