Wish (again) they played with the buttons more and got creative with the d-pad or sticks. Like the colors and yellow accent, though. Yellow and grey are my faves in general but I own the 2022 DualSense Camo (a patchy greywork) and have found it bland IRL; this controller gives me a samey vibe.
I think this is one of the better ones, I think if they do too much it runs the risk of being gaudy but that's just my opinion.

How are your multiplayer hours so low with those games? I'm confused
Great question; don't get it either. They must have some criterion that those games (Apex, Warframe) don't meet? Like a narrative campaign? We have narrative campaigns in Warframe but they're chaptered and even the trophy lists are segmented by chapter – so maybe that disqualifies it as MP?

Another themed controller. Preorders go up on Dec 20 and releases Feb 6

Siiiiick

I have no idea still what this project is exactly but that is some 10/10 cover art.
Sounds like its a Elden Ring battle royale. Weird idea but Fromsoft have kinda earned the right to do something different at this point

I’ve heard Souls bosses appear too, though. So it’s a kind of Miyazakian PvEvP?

Sooo add me to the list of PS5 Pro sucker owner list. They had them in stock at Target so I said what the hell. No disc drives in stock, but I looked online and Sony has them so I ordered it there and it is on the way.

Initial impressions- I feel like if you don't have a big display with VRR/120hz/HDR this is probably not going to be worth the purchase... but if you do, WOW.

I won't say it's money well spent but I will say it does in fact make games much more fluid and therefore more immersive. I fired up GOW Ragnarok and I noticed some extra details I had not noticed before. Put on Spiderman 2 and it legit does look significantly more crisp AND it runs smoother. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart already looked great at launch but wow, this thing looks like a Pixar movie and is super fluid.

I always felt like I was missing out by not playing some of Sony's games on PC, but I really don't feel that way now. I honestly do not see how much more the games I mentioned could be improved upon significantly.

Looking forward to playing the next Halo on here.

Man, everything just feels so slick now. When I get a chance, I'm going to give Returnal another go, as I never did get far in it.

I must have skipped some cutscenes and story last time around as I was confused as hell as to Selene's story and motivations. I'm going to be more patient and start fresh and make sure I don't miss anything next time around. I'm sure everything will fall into place next time.

Question for anyone with a PSVR2: do you recommend a charging station or anything like that? If yes, any specific recommendations for any particular brands?

I wasn’t sure how much I liked the pro over the base ps5 because it’s hard to tell the differences sometimes.

Recently though dying light 2 updated and changed my graphics option to performance. I noticed as soon as my game loaded up how much worse things looked compared to what I’m used to. Changes it back to balance and was satisfied. I didn’t think I would notice the difference so easily.

Didn’t realize that was PS5 pro enhanced. I’ll have to check it out before it goes off ps plus. Speaking of zombie games on the service, I think that was around the same time they put dead island 2 on plus. It also benefits from the pro. I played an hour and I had fun with it, probably going to return to it at some point but I still have to finish dragon age.

That’s the one game I’m surprised didn’t get a Pro enhancement. I guess it doesn’t really need one though, it’s pretty much flawless. I think it’s still my favorite game of the generation. Astro Bot coming in second. I’m such a big fan that I recently picked up the art book. Some interesting lore in there too. Of all studios I’m most interested in finding out what HouseMarque has been cooking. I love their focus on gameplay above all us. I’ve mentioned this before but you’ve got to play Nex Machina. It’s Returnal without the budget

Yea I debated between which two games I should go with and dead island 2 seemed to be getting more recommendations honestly. I went with DL2 though because I just like the parkour they had in 1 so I wanted more of that.

I just use the official Sony one. Fits the aesthetic and works fine.

Probably cheaper alternatives out there.

So balance also plays better than performance for you on Pro? Or you mean you prefer the visual fidelity over frame rate for DL2?
