Yea. I don't know if it rocks or not cause I just sit it down and don't touch it from there. I set it down on my tile floor or carpet and it doesn't move from that spot but nothing is touching or would touch it to cause it to move at all.

The main worry is if my dogs get rowdy or my kids mess around throwing some toy and it knocks over my PS5 standing I'm going to lose my shit. Laying it down I don't have to worry about that and if it rocks a bit because they hit it I'm fine with that. It's already on the floor so it can't fall anywhere.

I guess I was more concerned about stability since I have a disc drive. My entertainment center has a space specifically made for a PS5 so it keeps it pretty out of sight but it has to stand vertically.

Yea if I had a disc drive I would be using the feet without question. Your situation is pretty much the only situation I would even consider standing it. Even then I would try really hard to make room for it to lay down.
 
Sooo yesterday I learned that Microsoft may release Halo on Playstation and today I learned a Horizon game is on Nintendo Switch.

HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY??????

The Horizon game is a LEGO version. DF is raving about it as a perfect example on how developers should work on building a lower spec-ed switch version.

Yea there is no "may" it's happening but like always MS is drip feeding their userbase the bad news. The Horizon is a lego game that was done by another team not by PS.

I do think once switch 2 comes out Sony will start porting all their back catalogue to it.

Regarding Horizon- not sure if you guys recall but Sony wouldn't allow Spiderman to appear in non-Playstation versions of the Avengers game that came out a few years ago. In contrast Horizon is an IP fully developed and owned by Sony, while Spider Man is not

Regarding Xbox games on Playstation...

Yea if you pay attention to the industry Sony has been doing a lot of low key changes similar to this. Like there was a time where being a PS exclusive meant Sony owned the IP or they didn’t work with you. Now that’s a lot more rare.

They actually leased the ip of some game (forget the name) to another company who wants to remake the game. Sony isn’t involved in anyway beyond letting them use the ip. Still not allowed on Xbox I think is the only stipulation. I think they realize how expensive things are getting and that they need to loosen up.
 
So is the plan that Sony is going to be dropping more updates for older PS5 games getting PS5pro optimization.... or is all the updates we're going to get were released with the PS5pro?
 
Looking forward to playing the demo. Really enjoyed this franchise when I was younger but it kind of fell off in the last few installments. I'm hoping this is a return to form, it looks very promising. Demo releases on Friday 11/22 if anyone is interested. For those of us that own a PS5 Pro the demo with be enhanced as well as the full game.

You guys hear this story? Pretty crazy. Sony might buy Kadokawa. Probably for anime and manga even more so than video games. Apparently there’s south Korea and another in the mix. If that’s the case I want Sony to get them. I doubt they do anything exclusive exempt Bloodborne and maybe even then still not. It would just be nice to have the games come out running better on PlayStation. Also Microsoft said they want to buy more Japanese talent so breathing them to it would feel good

The amount of IP that Kadokawa has across the board of Anime, Manga, Games aswell as production houses included probably matches the stuff that Totoki has been talking about recently about IP Aquisition

Will be interesting to see how it would be split up if the deal goes ahead if they were to split the assets up

At least it’s a good sign they’re learning. Firewalk and Bungie have been disastrous so far

The funny thing is anime may be the biggest threat to this merger outside of Japan, but most countries probably won't care. Outside of the anime sphere no one seemed to care when Sony bought Crunchyroll and killed Funimation.
