Didn't really expect or want to try and get one. I still want the pro though but I'm still at over an hour. Might have to wait until Oct 10 and try on Best buy.

I was on the fence about getting the pro but this whole situation soured me on it
Just gonna save my money and stick to PC

Yea but then the 5000 series comes out and you'll be doing the same song and dance. Unless you don't plan on upgrading. I had to do this same nonsense to get my 3080 back during covid.

If I knew the controllers were being at other retailers I would have tried there but now they are all pretty much sold out. Will they be available again later?

Yeah I wouldn’t even worry about it. The controller will be easy to get. A week later there were Astro bot controllers there for days with stock. The first day is kind of crazy but controllers stock a lot faster

oh that is a non issue for me I never buy top of the line parts for my PC

Ok I was able to get in to playstation direct and pre order the anniversary controller.

Picked up the pro. Not bothering with the controller even though I want it. Got too many already and might see if they have another special edition for ghost next year

I'd get the controller if I didn't already know that I'd drop it on my tile floor a million times.

Well I got the Pro ordered so I'm good. Now to figure out what to play next because now a lot of stuff goes on my backlog until the Pro. Maybe I'll replay Alan Wake in order to prepare for Alan Wake 2.

Damn that's like $200 more than me. Once I get my pro I'll see about getting rid of my base PS5. Luckily I have the box and everything for it so should get good money for it.

I do feel a bit bad buying the controller because I've bought so many already. I got a second white controller when the PS5 first came out, a red and blue one when the colored ones came out and the hori commander Octa for fighting games. My wife has gotten me the Spider-Man controller and the PDP Victrix Pro controller as gifts. So much money blown lol, but what convinced me the most on this one is the colored buttons. I didn't know how much I'd miss something as simple as that but it adds so much to the controller aesthetically for me.

Yeah it’s a shame this releases right after AstroBot. I have the god of war one and Spider-Man along with two white controllers. The pro comes with yet another controller. Had I bought the anniversary one I’d be at 7. Can’t justify it no matter how cool it looks.

No they don’t, boobies or balls, these games play the same, nothing more than outrage culture which is beyond tedious at this point.

Well I think you are ignoring the fact that some people simply prefer to play the same character as their sex. It's a personal preference if you don't give a rat's ass that's you but not everyone is like you.

I'm sure some people do prefer that. Whenever I have the option I pick male also. It doesn't make or break a game for me though. There are way way more things I'm concerned about when it comes to a game and how much I like it. I personally think it's such an outlier of an issue that devs shouldn't even be concerned with it.

If you make a good game people will like it no matter what. When I heard the direction TLOU 2 was going to go I didn't like it. Played the game and loved every minute of it.

With the utmost respect I think there is a real lack of imagination on this thread about this topic. Like I said before maybe to you it's small to others it's probably not so small.

I don't even like to defend my preference because it's just my personal preference and I don't need to justify it. But sigh.... I will try.

It's almost like a role playing thing maybe where you become the character in a way. I don't get that feeling as much or at all when I play with female characters.

For me it's kinda of a big deal if I can't play as a male character. I've definitely passed on games before for this reason. I'm not preaching to devs about what they should do. But it's kinda lame to hound people for a personal preference,,, not saying you are doing that just commenting about the vibe I'm getting surrounding this topic.

This was available shortly after announcement of the pro. Yeah it's why it's a no for me...at least for now.
