Definitely not a state of play for me. Don't like horror games, can't stand Kojima, and the stellar Blade preview was boring.

I like the look of horror games. I hate the feeling of constantly being scared. So yea I can't get into horror games. I didn't think Death Stranding would be a good game but I tried it off PS+ and thought it was really good.

Stellar blade and Rise of the Ronin seem like they go could either be pretty good games or very generic.

Helldivers II & Rise of Ronin are my two most anticipated here but I’m surprised V Rising will be playable on PS5. Game got a lot of hype so stoked on that one. Will more than likely jump on SH2 but will definitely wait on DS2.

State of play was really good. Looking forward to DS2 looks great.
That trailer sold me on the first game lol, it looks boring but I’ll have to try it. Maybe I’ll get invested in the story to get over the gameplay elements

Shit I forgot but Dragons Dogma is going to be a banger as well. Hard to pick between than and Rise.

The story is decent but a bit confusing. I didn’t read the notes though so maybe that clears it up. The ending was one of the best endings I’ve ever seen in a video game.

The gameplay well you’ve seen it. It does look boring but I don’t know I just tried it and it clicked with me. I was shocked that I was enjoying it. I say do the first 3 chapters if it’s not clicking than it just isn’t for you.

Don’t get me wrong though it’s not my goty or anything I just thought it was a good game.

Definitely Rise for me, that trailer was great. The combat is so smooth. I'll play Dragon's Dogma 2 late in the year when there's less stuff fighting for my attention since that game is probably massive.

SoP was ok I suppose not really much for me, probably should get another playthrough of DS in, Think I only got to Ch8 then something else came out

Looks like the Until Dawn Remake is using UE5 instead of Decima unlike the original version

Also Silent Hill : The Short Message is the one that leaked 18 months ago or so, so nice to finally see that its actually done and released

Supposedly Supermassive's game The Quarry was orignally going to be Until Dawn 2

One employee, for instance, told us, "The Quarry team was originally Until Dawn 2 working with Sony. And Sony basically paid for them to be making this for them as a prototype. Then once the prototype was done, Supermassive turned around and said, 'We're going to shop this around and see if anyone else wants it", which was kind of the final nail in the coffin of any relationship with Sony. They ended up getting picked up by Google who funded it for years."

Silent Hill 2 looks terrible, anyone else feel that way?

I thought the same thing. I can't do horror games so it wouldn't have mattered even if it looked amazing.

I think a simple criterion to tease these two apart is playtime.

Rise will be awesome but a play and put away. DD2 will be 100h+ and I've elsewhere read that devs even suppressed fast travel in-game to encourage traditional traversal.

To nutshell it, if you want an adventure, fist play Rise; if you want an epic journey, first play DD2 rather, settle in, and invest a few hundred hours. Just my take.

Grapevine: Sony throwing hat back in handheld ring with 'Vita 2'. At least two years out. (2026)

New PlayStation handheld powered by AMD is in early development; 18 CUs, 1.8 GHz or slower GPU to maintain compatibility with PS4/PS5 titles, reports WCCF Tech here.

It's honestly the perfect time to do this. My only concern is I don't want the quality of games to suffer from their devs trying to force games onto it. So I'm not so sure how into this I am. Sony is at their peak right now and everything they release seems to be selling well.

I see this from a number of places ATM so not sure where each is sourced. Zube's got a good track record, iirc, and reporting it rumoured too.
